Arkansas State: Sources tell FootballScoop Butch Jones has an unexpected coordinator opening on his staff.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania (D-II - PA): Indiana University of Pennsylvania is looking to hire a Running Backs Coach for the period of August 1st through December 31st. This is an unpaid, intern position that will provide housing. Preference will be given to candidates with playing or coaching experience at the Running Back Position. Ohio: Nick Arleo, who had been a recruiting graduate assistant at Pitt, has joined the Ohio program as a graduate assistant working with linebackers and special teams, per source.
Arkansas Tech University (D-II): Arkansas Tech has an immediate opening for a Defensive Line Graduate Assistant position. The preferred candidate must be able to gain admissions into an ATU Graduate Program. Compensation: $920 a month (10 months), Tuition and Fees. No housing or meal plan will be provided. Concordia (NAIA – MI): Concordia University Ann Arbor has an opening for a part time, stipend position coach. Duties will include coaching own position group, assisting with game planning and recruiting efforts, and additional responsibilities assigned by head coach. Local candidates are encouraged to apply. Princeton (FCS): Athletic director Mollie Marcoux Samaan has been hired as the commissioner of the LPGA tour.
Alabama: Maryland offensive grad assistant Nick Cochran is set to return to the Crimson Tide source tells FootballScoop. Before going to Maryland, Cochran was on support staff at Alabama.
Denver Broncos: Ray Jackson has been promoted to vice president of player development after serving in the role of director of player development with the organization since 2015.
Feather River (JC - CA): Feather River College is looking for wide receivers coach with emphasis on recruiting. Duties may include assisting in football operations, equipment, academic monitoring, practice organization, video editing, and other related activities. Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or the equivalent is required. Position includes $9500 coaching stipend and possible classes in HES Department for qualified candidates. Carleton (D-III - MN): Carleton College (MN) has an opening for wide receivers coach. Duties will begin 8/1 and end 11/30. Stipend is $1,000 per month. The job is best suited for local candidates (Twin Cities area) or coach who can provide their own housing and living expenses. Lawrence Tech University (NAIA - MI):Lawrence Tech University is looking to hire two offensive graduate assistants ready to start immediately. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, coaching a position, recruiting, and assisting in all things related to offense and the overall football program. You MUST be able to get into graduate school and have a 3.0 or higher in undergrad at your previous university. Transfer Rule Ripple Effect: According to a report, the new one-time free transfer rule is already having an effect on scheduling and college football may need to brace for it.
Northwestern: The program has announced the addition of Alex Knisely as director of video operations. She spent the past few seasons at Kansas in the same role, and previously served as assistant director of video operations in Evanston.
Stonehill (D-II - MA): Stonehill College seeks applicants for the position of assistant football coach for offense. This position does not include a stipend, housing or meals. Preference will be given to local/regional candidates with prior playing/coaching experience. Position is ideal for a high school coach looking to pursue college coaching. Candidates will be responsible for coaching a position group, recruiting a geographical area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. Valley City State (NAIA - ND): Valley City State Universityhas an opening fora defensive graduate assistant position. Responsibilities include assisting in practice preparation, game day duties, film, recruiting along with any duties assigned by the DC and/or head coach. The position will include a $6,000 stipend, tuition waiver, meal stipend, and housing. Candidate should have coaching or playing experience – defensive line or linbackers preferred. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Qualified candidate must meet entrance requirements for master’s program at VCSU. Eastern Illinois (FCS): Linebackers coach Adam Gristick has added the title of defensive run game coordinator. Gristick is a former EIU linebacker who went on to work at Missouri State and Syracuse and was retained by head coach Adam Cushing after the 2018 season. Also, former operations graduate assistant Zach Mentzer has been promoted to director of football academics after previously working at Mizzou.
South Carolina: Former North Dakota State and Iowa State quarterback Zeb Noland is joining Shane Beamer's staff as an offensive graduate assistant, per source.
Geneva (D-III - PA): Geneva College, NCAA D-3 a Christian College, located in Beaver Falls, PA is looking for (2) two graduate assistants. The applicants must be admitted into the Masters of Higher Education program and provide a statement of their Christian faith. The GA openings are at the Defensive Line and Defensive Back positions. Applicants with a background in strength-training are urged to apply. A stipend of $8000 is provided along with a 1/3 reduced tuition. St. Scholastica (D-III - MN): Tyler Majewski has accepted the defensive coordinator job, per source. Majewski was most recently a special teams quality control coach at Minnesota, and prior to that was a defensive assistant / recruiting coordinator at Shorter (D-II - GA).
Ottawa University (NAIA-AZ): Ottawa University Arizona has an immediate opening for a graduate assistant or restricted earnings offensive line coach. College coaching and recruiting experience is preferred. Applicants must be accepted into the graduate program with a 3.0 GPA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, equipment organization, practice planning, coaching a position group, leading meetings, film break down, player evaluation and recruiting, promotion and marketing of the program, and assisting in general day to day football operations. This position pays full tuition, a meal plan, as well as a healthy stipend. Wilkes (D-III - PA): Wilkes University is looking to hire a Safeties coach in a non-benefited roll. This person needs to possess strong communication skills, infectious energy, and have a growth mindset. Preference also given to applicants with experience and efficiency with excel, HUDL, and Visio. This coach will also be given own recruiting area. Housing is provided year round and some meals. Salary is $12,000. Looking to fill this position ASAP. NFL: Former NFL player and coach Eugene Chung was told he “wasn’t the right minority we’re looking for” and now the league is looking into it.
Cumberland (NAIA - TN): Cumberland University has an immediate opening for a Defensive Line/Outside Linebacker Graduate Assistant. Candidates must meet admission requirements of a minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA to be accepted into graduate school. Duties will be assigned by the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Candidates must be skilled in Hudl, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Excel, etc. Candidates will receive tuition assistance, housing, and a meal plan. No stipend.
