Colorado: CU has made contact with Eric Bieniemy and there is "preliminary mutual interest," tweets Mike Klis of 9News in Denver.

USC: USC has formally announced Donte Williams as cornerbacks coach and defensive pass game coordinator and Sean Snyder as special teams coordinator.

Indiana: Former Michigan State defensive tackles coach Ron Burton will join the staff as defensive line coach, per Taylor Lehman of We're told he'll also be a co-defensive coordinator.

North Carolina Central (FCS): Southern University quarterbacks coach Matt Leone has accepted the offensive coordinator position at North Carolina Central.

New England Patriots: The Patriots have agreed to an extension with director of player personnel Nick Caserio reports Ben Volin.

North Texas: Tommy Mangino is leaving to become the offensive coordinator at Austin Lake Travis.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Source tells FootballScoop Chris O'Hara is joining Jay Gruden in Jacksonville as thee offensive assistant. O'Hara spent the last three seasons with the Washington Redskins.

Eastern Michigan: Brandon Blaney has joined the staff as tight ends coach, sources tell FootballScoop. Blaney arrives in Ypsi after working as an offensive analyst at Michigan and coached previously at Iowa State, Kansas and in the NFL.

Colorado: Darrin Chiaverini has been named interim head coach.

Carroll (D-III - WI): Ken Ackerman has been named the offensive coordinator / offensive line coach for the Pioneers. Ackerman previously served as offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coach for the football program at Kentucky Wesleyan (D-II)

North Carolina: The Tar Heels have officially announced the additionof John Lilly as tight ends coach.

Texas Tech: Duke associate head coach / defensive backs Derek Jones has accepted the corners position at Texas Tech.

Kentucky: Mark Stoops is cutting a trip a day short to meet with Vince Marrow and convince him to turn down Michigan State, tweets Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio.

Oklahoma: New hire Jamar Cain will coach defensive ends and outside linebackers and Calvin Thibodeaux will coach defensive tackles, Lincoln Riley says.

Michigan State: Nick Saban worked as an outside adviser on Michigan State's hunt for Mel Tucker, according to the Detroit News.

Eastern Michigan: Indiana graduate assistant Mike Piatkowski has been hired as the quarterbacks coach. Piatkowski played his college ball at Drake (FCS - IA) under Chris Creighton.

Castleton (D-III - VT): Castleton University is seeking a graduate assistant football coach. The position is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all phases of the Football Program including coaching your own position (Linebacker experience preferred), film-breakdown (HUDL), scouting reports (Excel), recruitment of student-athletes (ties to New England region preferred along withFront Rush experience), and other duties to be assigned. The position includes a stipend, housing, assisted meal plan, and a Master’s Degree paid for in the areas of Athletic Leadership, Business Administration, or possibly Education. A 3.0 undergraduate GPA is preferred. Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. UMass: UMass Football is currently accepting applications for an unpaid Quality Control Intern position. The intern will assist the coaching staff in scouting, game-planning, recruiting, and day-to-day operations. This position is strictly voluntary and does not provide any stipend, housing, or any other benefits, however the position does have the potential to grow into a Graduate Assistant / paid Quality Control position. It is preferred that the applicants have a minimum of 2 years of high school or college coaching experience and should be proficient in DVSport/XOS and Microsoft office. North Texas: Eric Mathies has now been announced as defensive line coach.

Baylor: Justin Johnson has been announced as running backs coach. Johnson spent last season in the same capacity at Houston.

Lehigh (FCS - PA): Lehigh University is currently accepting applications for a volunteer quality control position. This position will primarily consist of film breakdown, data entry, recruiting assistance to full time coaches and any other duties assigned by staff. Candidates with strong computer skills are preferred. (1) Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree program; (2) Experience competing/working in intercollegiate athletics. This is a non-coaching position. This position does not provide any stipend, benefits, or housing. However, volunteers will receive experience working in a Division 1 program. Michigan State: The Spartans have officially announced the hire of Mel Tucker as their new head coach.

USC: Virginia defensive line coach Vic So'oto is set to become the new defensive line coach for Clay Helton and the Trojans, per 247. So'oto rounds out a new defensive staff that includes Todd Orlando (defensive coordinator), Craig Naivar (safeties) and Donte Williams (corners).

Georgia Southern: Former Georgia Southern offensive coordinator Doug Ruse is returning to the staff, Herald GS Sports shares. Ruse previously served as the offensive coordinator at Arkansas Tech (D-II). Multiple reports share he will coach the tight ends.

Waynesburg (D-II - PA): Waynesburg University is immediately accepting applications for a graduate assistant. Applicants will be responsible for managing their own recruiting area and will be responsible for coaching and managing their own position, including meetings. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to, film breakdown, data entry, recruiting, assisting with game preparation and other duties assigned by the head coach. Needs to be efficient in Hudl, Excel, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Power Point. Position will report to Athletic Director. Other duties include but are not limited to: game manager, working in accordance with all athletic staff members, and representing the University in a positive manner. Washington: Former UC Davis (FCS) defensive line coach Brandon Huppert has returned to Washington (where he previously served as a graduate assistant and quality control coach) as director of player development.

Michigan State: The wild coaching search in East Lansing will reportedly come to an end as Colorado's Mel Tucker is set to become the next leader of the Spartans during the early morning hours. More on that here.

North Carolina: Former Browns tight ends coach John Lilly is expected to join the staff as tight ends coach, Bruce Feldman tweets.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is joining the staff as quarterbacks coach, per multiple reports.

UT-Martin (FCS): Assistant head coach Chris Polizzi has been promoted from safeties coach to defensive coordinator. Polizzi has spent the past two seasons on staff and has previous experience at Western Carolina, Iowa, UCLA, and Utah. He takes over for Jordon Hankins, who recently resigned to take a position at Marshall.

Masters of Sports Administration:Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Education.

USF: Justin Speros has joined the staff as director of scouting. Speros previously served as the director of scouting and quality control at Western Carolina (FCS).

ASA Miami (JC - FL): ASA Miami is looking to fill 4 positions on staff. The positions available are LBs / RBs positions. Assistant DL coach with on campus housing and a assistant coach (offensive or defensive) with on campus housing. You will have the opportunity to coach a position and recruit multiple areas in South Florida. These positions are great for coaches entering the profession. Tennessee Tech (FCS): The following coaches have been added to the Tennessee Tech staff, per source: former Colorado State OC / OL coach Dave Johnson (OL / Run Game Coordinator); former Gardner Webb (FCS - NC) defensive coordinator Chris Grimes (Nickels / Co-Special Teams Coordinator); Stewarts Creek HS (NT) head coach Bert Browne (WRs / Offensive Recruiting Coordinator); Northwestern State (FCS - LA) running backs coach Gerald Howse (RBs / Co-Special Teams Coordinator); former South Carolina and Georgia high school head coach Jeff Herron (TEs / Transfer Liaison). Also, Doug Malone (who was already on staff) will shift to offensive coordinator / quarterbacks, defensive line coach Sam Williams will add the associate head coach title along while continuing to coach the defensive line, and corners coach Fred Marshall will add the Defensive Recruiting Coordinator title. Donnie Suber will continue as defensive coordinator / safeties and linebackers coach Bruce Hatfield will continue as Tennessee HS and Alumni Liason. Lastly, Chip Pugh will continue as DFO / director of leadership and character development.
