Midland (NAIA - NE): Bryant Beal, the defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Kansas Wesleyan (NAIA), has accepted a position at Midland University.

UNLV: Sources tell FootballScoop New Mexico receivers coach Scott Baumgartner is taking the same position on Marcus Arroyo's staff at UNLV. Prior to spending the past seven seasons at New Mexico, Baumgartner coached receivers at Nevada for nine seasons.

Gardner Webb: Per source, head coach Tre Lamb has filled his staff with the following hires; Josh Reardon (DC), Bennett Houston (special assistant to the HC), Taylor Hennigan (STC), Jake Thornton (OL / run game coordinator), Taylor Lamb (QBs), Kelsey Pope (WRs), Dominique Davenport (RBs / co-STC), Tyler Dell (player personnel / recruiting), and Jordan Miller (TEs GA). We understand Lamb is still interviewing to fill two defensive positions and a graduate assistant spot.

Chicago Bears: Longtime Eagles offensive line coach Juan Castillo will be joining the staff as the new offensive line coach, Tom Pelissero tweets.

Oklahoma Baptist (D-II): Quarterbacks coach / pass game coordinator Brayle Brown has been promoted to associate offensive coordinator.

Missouri: Former Washington offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan is joining the staff as an offensive assistant, Pete Thamel tweets. Hamdan and Eli Drinkwitz previously coached together at Arkansas State.

Colorado State: Defensive coordinator John Jancek will not be retained by head coach Steve Addazio, sources tell FootballScoop.

Valparaiso (FCS - IN): Valparaiso is looking for a qualified entry level candidate to coach the wide receivers. The candidate should possess at least two years of coaching experience at the collegiate level. This is a full time, 12-month position that will include benefits. Ole Miss: Sources tell FootballScoop Lane Kiffin has offered Texas A&M tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley a similar role at Ole Miss. We hear the deal is likely to happen. Lane targeted him early on.

Presentation (NAIA - SD):Presentation College is looking for games September 12th 2020 and September 11th 2021. 2020 game must be a home game. Prefer NAIA or DIII opponent. Interested programs can contact Steve Heimann at

NC State: Tim Beck has now formally been announced as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. We shared yesterday that Beck was expected to join Dave Doeren's staff.

Cleveland: The Browns will interview Mike McCarthy tomorrow and 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh this weekend shares Ian Rapoport.

New York Giants: Former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy will interview with the Giants later this week, Ian Rapoport tweets. He adds that McCarthy will interview with the Browns tomorrow and and that likely means an interview Friday with the Giants, and he has met twice with the Panthers.

Ohio State: Ohio State plans to elevate senior quality control coach Corey Dennis to quarterback coach Pete Thamel tweets. Dennis was expected to join the Colorado State staff prior to the departure of Buckeyes quarterbacks coach / pass game coordinator Mike Yurcich to Texas. Thamel adds that Yurcich will make $1.7 million at Texas.

UNLV: Sources tell FootballScoop Vanderbilt offensive line coach Cameron Norcross will join the UNLV offensive staff. Prior to his four year stint at Vandy, he coached offensive line at Fresno State for four seasons and OL / TEs at Nevada for 11.

Scoop'Em up: Daric Riley a 20 year coaching veteran almost exclusively in the secondary with over 15 years experience as a SPT Coordinator coached the 2019 season at Old Dominion. Prior to ODU, he had stops at ECU, SMU and UAB where he was a finalist for the 2014 Special Teams Coordinator of the year. He spent 4 years at Clemson as a Defensive GA/QC from 07-10 where he learned special teams from Andre Powell and defense from Vic Koenning. Samford (FCS - AL): We hear some movement on the defensive staff is likely at Samford; but nothing is finalized at this time. Will update.

Ole Miss: Sources tell FootballScoop Lane Kiffin has released most of the remaining on field staff from Matt Luke's staff. Details to come...

Washington Redskins: The team has formally announced Ron Rivera as their new head coach. A presser is scheduled for 2pm EST. Adam Schefter adds that he's hired Jack Del Rio as his defensive coordinator.

Bowl Games on Today: Citrus Bowl - Alabama vs. Michigan at 1pm EST on ABC, Outback Bowl - Auburn vs. Minnesota at 1pm EST on ESPN, Rose Bowl - Oregon vs. Wisconsin at 5pm EST on ESPN and the Sugar Bowl - Georgia vs. Baylor at 8:45pm EST on ESPN.

Oklahoma State: Last night we shared that Sources told us that OK State wide receivers coach Kasey Dunn is now expected to stay in Stillwater. Dunn was expected to take the offensive coordinator job at UNLV. Will update…
