SEC: Don't be surprised if the SEC works in concert with the Big 12 and ACC to make the most consequential decision in recent college sports history.

Big 12: The Big 12 has moved its virtual media day to Aug. 3. The event had been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

Occidental College (D-III - CA): Occidental will not compete in athletics this fall.

Norwich (D-III - VT): Norwich will not compete in athletics this fall, the school announced today.

Bryant (FCS - RI):Bryant has replaced a scheduled game against Robert Morris (FCS - PA) on Nov. 7 with Merrimack (FCS - MA). It will be a home game for Bryant.

Washington (NFL): Jeff Scott has been promoted to assistant director of pro scouting/advance coordinator. Scott joined the organization as a salary cap intern in 2012, and served most recently as director of football strategy and a scout.

Pioneer League (FCS): It's official - Division III member St. Thomas is making the unprecedented jump to Division I.

Tennessee State (FCS): Tennessee State will not replace the two games it lost to cancellation, against Jackson State and Southern. TSU football players will not return to campus until Aug. 7.

Arkansas Pine Bluff (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Doc Gamble has named safeties coach Torenzo Quinn his assistant head coach.

Madonna (NAIA - MI): Madonna University, located in Livonia, MI is seeking two graduate assistants working with the defensive and offensive side of the football. The Graduate Assistant (GA) must be fully admitted to a Graduate degree program at Madonna University. The GA must register for a minimum of 6 semester hours (minimum of 9 semester hours is required for international graduate assistants) during each Fall and Winter semester. The GA may register for additional credits up to a maximum of 24 semester hours per academic year. The GA must maintain good standing academically (3.0 or higher GPA each semester) and adhere to the University Code of Conduct to maintain their position. Compensation includes tuition potential stipend, room and board (depending on applicant’s preference). A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0) scale required. Ohio: Ohio University football is seeking to fill a position supporting the Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations with all recruiting and operations of the football team. Duties include coordination of travel; coordination of practice; set-up of the recruiting pavilion for home games; assist with football recruiting, and other duties as assigned. Carthage (D-III - WI): Carthage College has two open positions it will look to fill immediately. Carthage is looking for a restricted earnings defensive line coach that will coach their own position and have their own recruiting area. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (D-II): The PSAC has suspended all competition for the fall semester. The conference intends to play fall sports in the spring "if a return to competition can be safely executed."

Tommy Tuberville: The former Auburn (and Ole Miss, Texas Tech and Cincinnati) head coach is almost certainly going to the US Senate next year.

Texas College (NAIA): Former head coach Charles Moss has accepted an associate head coaching job at Tyler Lee HS (TX).

Wisconsin-Eau Claire (D-III): Per source, former Washburn (D-III) player Jake Riederer has been hired to coach the running backs.

USA South (D-III): The USA South Athletic Conference has announced a creative plan to play football this fall.
