LSU: Defensive grad assistant Christian LaCoutre has left the program to accept a position in sales reports Jacques Doucet.

Louisiana Tech: Sherman Wilson has been announced as the program's new director of recruiting. Wilson previously as a scouting apprentice for the Los Angeles Rams since June of 2020 where he learned scouting techniques and evaluation procedures from NFL executives. and also previously worked as a recruiting analyst at Memphis, where he assisted in signing the highest-rated class in program history in 2021.

NC State: Corey Phillips, who previously served as assistant director of recruiting at Vanderbilt, has joined the NC State staff as director of recruiting, source tell FootballScoop.

Lincoln Riley vs. Gary Patterson: The Oklahoma and TCU head coaches are locked in a game of tug-of-war over Chandler Morris's 2021 season.

Kansas State: Athletic director Gene Taylor has signed a contract extension keeping him in Manhattan through the 2026-27 academic year and includes a significant raise to $925,000 per year. Taylor was nearing the end of a five-year deal he signed in 2017 that paid him $450,000 initially with a pay bump of $50k each year.

Official caught red handed: A hot mic caught an official admitting to a premeditated penalty call last night.

Vanderbilt: Matthew Dompreh has accepted the assistant director of video services on Clark Lea's staff, per source. Dompreh previously served in similar capacities at Iowa, Kansas State, Boston College, Pitt and Houston.

William Penn (NAIA - IA): William Penn is seeking applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant working with either offensive skill (option experience preferred) or secondary. Applicants must be accepted into William Penn Master’s program, 3.0 GPA. Stipend, tuition waiver, and possible housing included. Alabama:Nick Saban has made a staff change.

Notre Dame: Mike McCray II, a former Wolverine captain and linebacker who served in a defensive analyst capacity in Ann Arbor last year, has accepted a graduate assistant position on the defensive side of the ball for the Irish.

Drake (FCS - IA): Drake is looking to fill their season opener for the fall 2021 season. Preferably a home game but will entertain other options at this point. Either on Thursday evening on September 2nd, or Saturday (day or evening) September 4th. Game guarantee and food included with contract. High school: A Massachusetts high school coach has apologized and is under further investigation after using objectionable names for play calls early this season.
