FBS Staff Tracker: The 2020-21 FBS Staff Tracker page, where you can see how each new head coach is filling their staff, is up and running.

Iowa State: Matt Campbell reportedly turned down $68.5 million from the Detroit Lions to remain at Iowa State.

Abilene Christian (FCS - TX): Abilene Christian University is seeking qualified applicants for a non-coaching Director of Recruiting Operations and Media Relations. This is a 12-month paid position with a monthly stipend and free housing. Benefits and meals are not included. An example of job responsibilities includes but are not limited to the following: Oversee the football programs recruiting software (ARMS). Organize and update high school, JUCO, and transfer film and transcripts. Meet with the recruiting coordinators regarding official visit submission and set up. Operate and run ACU Football social media sites and design graphics for social media. We are seeking for this applicant to start June 1st, for all interested parties email resumes to James.curlee@acu.edu.

Baylor: Per source, Patrick Markarian will be the new offensive graduate assistant at Baylor working with the offensive line. Markarian spent the past three seasons at San Jose State.

Hobart (DIII - NY): Hobart College is looking to confirm a preseason scrimmage in August. Can be flexible on date and location. Open to a one year or multi-year agreement. Please contact kdewall@hws.edu if interested.

Ohio State: AD Gene Smith is in line for an extension through 2026 paying him a sum of $2.06 million per year, tweets Bill Landis of The Athletic. Formal approval from the board could come as soon as tomorrow.

Duke: Longtime senior deputy and chief of staff for athletics Nina King is expected to be promoted and fill the athletic director vacancy for the Blue Devils, Pete Thamel tweets.

Eastern Illinois (FCS): Eastern Illinois University has an IMMEDIATE opening for a defensive and special teams quality control position. These are strictly a VOLUNTEER positions; there is NO compensation, housing OR benefits. Ideal candidates must have high energy, be self-motivated, be highly organized, a proficiency in Hudl, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other computer skills. Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): Colby Carthel has filled out his staff with a pair of internal promotions, sources tell FootballScoop.

James Madison (FCS - VA): Curt Cignetti didn't have to look for for his new offensive coordinator, and has filled the opening on his offensive staff with a hire from Alabama.

Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): SFA football no longer has any openings on staff, as all open positions have been filled internally.

Southern Illinois (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop that Nick Hill is filling his open coordinator position (see below) with former FBS coordinator and college coaching veteran.

Kentucky: Matt Jones shared on air yesterday that Jovon Bouknight will return to the staff for the 2021 season and discipline will be handled internally. Bouknight was arrested on suspiscion of DWI, speeding and possession of an open alcohol container recently.

Southern Illinois (FCS): Special teams coordinator / defensive ends coach Jared Petrino has announced his resignation and has shared that he's moving closer to his family in Wyoming.

Denver Broncos: After three years with the Lions as a west coast area scout, Roman Phifer has been hired as senior personnel executive with the Broncos.

Virginia Tech: The Hokies have made a few moves in their personnel and recruiting departments. Beau Davidson has been promoted to Director of Recruiting. He was previously the Assistant Director of Player Personnel and Offensive Quality Coach at Virginia Tech. Before joining Virginia Tech, he was the Defensive Coordinator at Howard Payne (D-III - TX). He also spent seven seasons prior in the Texas high school coaching ranks. The program also hired Leah Joseph as Director of On-Campus Recruiting. She was previously the Director of Volleyball Operations at Virginia Tech. Also, Lino Lupinetti has been promoted from recruiting assistant to Director of Personnel & Recruiting. Prior to his job in Blacksburg, he was a student worker in recruiting at the University of Pittsburgh. Madi Harris has also been elevated from student worker to Assistant Director of On-Campus Recruiting.

James Madison (FCS - VA): Alabama offensive analyst Tino Sunseri has been announced as the new quarterbacks coach for James Madison. Sunseri has spent the past two-plus seasons with the Tide quarterbacks, and as a player he started for three seasons as a quarterback at Pitt. Other prior coaching stops for him include Tennessee and Florida State.

John Carroll (D-III – OH): John Carroll Football is accepting applications for a restricted earnings Quality Control/Assistant Coach position on offense. This position will also be responsible for working with a position group (skill). This is a 10 month contract without benefits. Prior experience playing or coaching at the college level is required. In this position you will be expected to run your own meetings, and have full practice/development responsibilities. Off the field responsibilities include but are not limited to: opponent film breakdown and reports, Hudl uploading and intercutting, full recruiting of a specific area, and any other responsibilities assigned by the Head Coach and Coordinators. Candidates must have a strong background using the Microsoft Office Suite, Visio and Hudl/XOS/DVSport. This position comes with no housing, or meals. Kansas: Lance Leipold has filled his key off-field staff positions.

Hawaii: With Aloha Stadium no longer available, Hawaii has found a temporary solution to its existential problem.

Nassau CC (JC - NY): Nassau CC has hired Brian Hughes to the football staff, per source. Coach Hughes has over 20 years of experience in the collegiate ranks, having served as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at C.W. Post/LIU Post and the LIU Sharks.

Arkansas: After a 3-7 season against an all SEC schedule and with no spring ball, Sam Pittman and AD Hunter Yurachek have agreed to reset the Razorbacks head coach’s contract.

Detroit Lions: After not inviting a tryout quarterback to their rookie minicamp, Dan Campbell had a few of his assistants step in to sling it around.
