Millsaps (D-III - MS): Millsaps College is seeking a restricted earnings defensive assistant football coach (DBs). The applicant must be motivated hard working and willing to learn. The position will include coaching defensive backs and will require some video responsibility as well as other jobs assigned by the head coach or defensive coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for a recruiting area. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, a bachelor’s degree and pass a background check. This position is a 10 month contract with no benefits paying $7,500 and housing is included. The job will start on Wednesday, July 1st, 2015. Preliminary phone interviews will start immediately. Valdosta State (D-II - GA): The Valdosta Daily Times is reporting that Jeremy Darveau has joined the staff as offensive line coach. Darveau is the former offensive line coach / offensive coordinator at Southwest Minnesota State (D-II), and former assistant offensive line coach at Florida.

Marshall: Doc Holliday's new six-year deal (see post yesterday) will pay him $755,000 annually. Holliday made $600,000 per year under his previous deal. Athletic director Mike Hamrick also received a pay bump with his extension, going up from $270,000 to $300,000.
