Western Carolina (FCS): Per source, Jason Nichols has joined the staff and will coach the running backs and Jeff Popovich has been hired as the new secondary coach. Nichols spent last season at ULM, and Popovich was at UTSA in 2015.
Fordham (FCS - NY): Joe Davis, who served as the offensive coordinator at Northern Iowa (FCS) last season during their run to the quarterfinals, has been named quarterbacks coach / passing game coordinator at Fordham. Davis has previous coaching stops at Shippensburg (D-II - PA), Wheaton College (D-III - IL), North Park University (D-III - IL) and Wayne State (D-II - MI).
Washington State: Per source, Tarleton State (D-II - TX) quarterbacks coach Chase Holbrook is joining the staff in a quality control role. Holbrook is a former quarterback at New Mexico State.
Northern Michigan (D-II): Northern Michigan is looking to hire a defensive coordinator. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all aspects of a highly competitive Division II football program, including, but not limited to: coordinating unit, coaching a position, recruiting, student-athlete development, ensuring academic success of student-athletes, practice and game planning, management of defensive staff, as well as rules and compliance. Bachelor's degree required. Evidence of five years of successful college football coaching experience required. Defensive coordinator experience preferred. Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to recruit quality student-athletes. Utah: The details of Kyle Whittingham's contract extension that he signed in January have been uncovered by KSL.com. The extension keeps Whittingham at Utah through December 31, 2020 and is worth a minimum of $3.3 million annually, with him expected to earn at least $17 million over a five-year period. He will make $985k in base salary (up from $685k previously), with annual increases of $50k. If Utah wins 9 games under his leadership, he will earn a bonus of $100k. If Whittingham terminates his contract to coach somewhere else, he will have to pay $2.5 million if he leaves in 2016 or 2017, $1.75 million if he leaves in 2018 or 2019, and $1 million if he leaves before 2020. If Utah terminates his contract early, Whittingham would be owed $3 milion per year, or $2 million per year if the Utes win less than five games for two seasons in a row.
Florida: Bret Ingalls, a veteran of the coaching profession, has joined the Gators staff as an offensive quality control assistant.
New Orleans Saints: Head coach Sean Payton tells Pro Football Talk that he and the Saints are close to finalizing a new contract.
Southern Miss: Along with serving as assistant head coach (as previously reported), Tim Billings will also have the title of outside linebackers coach.
Old Dominion: Old Dominion is looking for applicants for a graphic design intern position. This person will report directly to the assistant director of recruiting and will be responsible for the daily production of graphics to be used for recruiting and other social media purposes. Research: The Complete Run/Pass Option Study New research uncovers how coaches are devising their run/pass option concepts to manipulate second and third level defenders. Michigan: Report out of Washington is that Michigan is indeed hiring Brian Smith who served last season with the Philadelphia Eagles as assistant linebackers coach and who played for & has worked with Don Brown. Will update once official.
Dordt (NAIA - IA): Lynn Nutt has been announced as defensive coordinator. Nutt is a former Eastern Michigan assistant, and also spent a season at his alma mater William Jewell (D-II - MO) as defensive line coach.

Fordham (FCS - NY): Former Northern Iowa offensive coordinator Joe Davis has been hired as pass game coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Fordham.
Central Washington (D-II): Central Washington has hired Marian defensive coordinator Scott Power in the same capacity. Power was recently selected by his peers as the 2015 NAIA Coordinator of the Year.
Copiah-Lincoln (JC - MS): Copiah- Lincoln CC has an opening for an offensive skill coach. Responsibilities will be assisting the head coach in the successful MACJC football program including: coaching, recruiting, and teaching. Qualifications/Experience: Minimum of Master’s degree, collegiate coaching experience, and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. The successful candidate must have the ability to recruit, coach, and teach highly talented student-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment as well as assist in managing all facets of the Copiah- Lincoln Community College football program. Delaware State: Seton Hill (D-II - PA) defensive coordinator Gerard Wilcher is the new defensive coordinator at Delaware State, per source.
Michigan: Sources tell FootballScoop that Michigan has offered the defensive backs position to a coach and the hiring process has begun. Neither Courtney "Chip" Viney, nor Aubrey Pleasant were offered the position. We understand Michigan plans to hire someone with ties to new defensive coordinator Don Brown.
Auburn: Former LSU graduate assistant Devin Ducote is now a defensive analyst at Auburn.
Saginaw Valley State (D-II - MI): Per source, wide receivers coach Andre Griffin will be the new head coach at Lima Senior HS (OH), pending school board approval. Griffin is the son of two-time Heisman winner Archie Griffin.
Whittier College (D-III - CA): Whittier College is seeking applicants for a restricted earnings coaching position (RBs or WRs coach). Qualifications: Bachelors degree required with successful football playing and/or coaching experience, strong professional/interpersonal communication skills and organizational efficiency, outstanding character and leadership qualities a must. Experience with HUDL is a plus. Duties include coaching your own position and; plan, organize, and instruct positional meetings and drills; contribute to offensive game plan; film breakdown, recruit your own territory, and attract top quality student-athletes to attend Whittier College, as well as other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Coastal Carolina (FCS): Coastal Carolina is looking to fill a graphic design / social media senior intern within the recruiting department. In this position you will be directly involved in all day to day social media outreach for the program, and specifically responsible for the creation of graphics to be used through our social media channels. Chaffey (JC – CA): Chaffey College is seeking qualified applicant for an assistant football coach working with the Wide Receivers. Desired qualifications include a Master’s degree in Kinesiology/Physical Education or Exercise Science. Experience and relationships in Southern California is preferred. Applicants must have experience with Hudl digital editing system and be highly motivated to recruit. Prospective applicant’s responsibilities would include administrative duties in game week organization and preparation, video breakdown of games and practices, opponent scout, and creating tendency reports.
