South Florida: Former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Jancek will be South Florida's safeties coach according to SI.

Weber State: Defensive ends coach Jason Kaufusi has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

San Francisco 49ers: Colts safeties coach Roy Anderson is joining Chip Kelly's staff as secondary coach according to Alex Marvez.

New York Giants: Patriots linebackers coach Patrick Graham is joining the staff as defensive line coach according to multiple reports.

Cal (PA): Duquesne offensive coordinator Gary Dunn will be named head coach tomorrow reports the Observer-Reporter. We have been told the same.

Fresno State: Utah State special teams / running backs coach Dave Ungerer will join the Fresno State staff in the same capacity per SI.

Arkansas State: Per source, A-State will hire Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL) offensive line coach Allen Rudolph to the same post.

BYU: The program has announced a number of hires including Reno Mahe (RBs), Jernaro Gilford (CBs), and Tevita Ofahengaue (director of recruiting operations). These hires complete Kalani Sitake's coaching staff.

San Diego Chargers: Former Patriots offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo will be one of the Chargers' offensive line coaches (along with Jeff Davidson) according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

James Madison: Bryan Stinespring will coach the tight ends at JMU. Also, as we've previously reported, Mike Houston has now formally announced the additions of Donnie Kirkpatrick (OC / QBs), Bob Trott (DC / safeties), and Byron Thweatt (ILBs).

Southern Miss: AL.com confirmed this afternoon that Southern Miss considered Bill Clark; but Clark told AL.com this afternoon that he is committed to UAB and is no longer part of the process with Southern Miss.

Wisconsin: The Badgers have formally announced Justin Wilcox as defensive coordinator.

Middle Tennessee State: MTSU has announced the addition of Jeff Beckles to coach the running backs. Beckles coached the running backs at Samford last season, and spent five seasons at Troy prior to that. Also, Rick Stockstill has announced that tackles and tight ends coach Rick Mallory will coach the offensive line moving forward, and running backs coach Mike Polly will move to tackles and tight ends. This completes Stockstill's staff at MTSU.

Miami: Mississippi State defensive grad assistant (linebackers) Jonathan Patke is leaving to join the staff at Miami in a quality control role, per source.

Southern Miss: Sources tell FootballScoop Kentucky OC Eddie Gran was being considered by Southern Miss for their head coaching position but Gran has removed himself from the process. We hear that Doug Nussmeier, Bill Clark and Jay Hopson remain in the process.

UW-Eau Claire (D-III): Per source, the following coaches have joined the staff; Mike McHugh (OL), Matt Ebner (DC), and Tony Aker (WRs).

Ottawa RedBlacks (Canada): Beau Walker, who has worked under Mike Riley in a variety of roles at Oregon State and Nebraska (including time as an offensive intern and graduate assistant), has been hired to coach the running backs, per source.

Philadelphia Eagles: The organization has received permission from the Steelers to interview pro scouting coordinator Brandon Hunt for their director of player personnel job.

Middle Georgia State (Club): Middle Georgia State University, a club team located at an NAIA school, is looking to hire several volunteer position coaches, working with the Offensive Line, Defensive Line, Inside Linebackers, Running Backs, and Wide Receivers. Duties would include but not limited to coaching a positon, practice and game video, monitoring players academically, and recruiting. Requirements include college football playing experience, and a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Preference would be given to coaches in the Middle Georgia area. Weber State: Receivers coach Fesi Sitake is expected to be promoted to offensive coordinator.

Southern Miss: Sources tell FootballScoop that in addition to Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, Southern Miss is also considering Eddie Gran for their head coaching position. Gran, Kentucky's offensive coordinator, spent the past three seasons as offensive coordinator at Cincinnati and served three seasons prior to that as associate head coach at Florida State. Other candidates have been interviewed as well. Sources tell us a decision could be reached today, tomorrow at the latest barring something unforseen. Stay tuned...

Michigan: New athletic director Warde Manuel is getting a 5-year deal worth $700,000 annually according to the Detroit Free Press.

Scoop him up: Central Oklahoma (D-II) running backs Coach Tony Savino brings seven valuable years of coaching experience to the table. While coaching the running backs at UCO, he has lead three different rushers to 1,000+ yards in three consecutive seasons. Prior to UCO, Savino coached the linebackers and defensive line at Southwestern Oklahoma and Cisco College. Having played offensive Line at TCU under Gary Patterson and Justin Fuente, Savino has some diverse experience on the both sides of the ball. In addition to all of this, he holds two Masters Degrees in Adult Education and Sports Management.

Minnesota: New defensive coordinator Jay Sawvel, who worked with the Gophers secondary last season, will earn $550,000 annually over the next two seasons, per Andy Greder. Sawvel made $253,000 as the secondary coach last season.

Western Kentucky: Marshall running backs coach Chris Barclay has joined the Jeff Brohm's staff.

Virginia State (D-II): Justin Harper, who joined the staff last season as wide receivers coach, has been named interim head coach, replacing Byron Thweatt who resigned to become the linebackers coach at James Madison.

Bethune Cookman (FCS - FL): Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida is looking for an offensive graduate assistant to work with quarterbacks and a defensive graduate assistant to work with the linebackers or defensive line. Send resume to coach Lawal McCray at McCrayl@cookman.edu.

NFL Pro Bowl: Mike McCarthy will not coach in the Pro Bowl on Sunday due to a stomach illness.

USA Football: Michael Levy, who served as DFO at Ball State last season, has accepted a position with USA Football.

North Texas: Per SI, Pearl River CC (CA) defensive coordinator Derrick LeBlanc will be the new defensive line coach for Seth Littrell's staff.

Detroit Lions: Dawn Aponte is leaving the Dolphins front office for a position with the Lions, Alex Marvez reports. Aponte handled Miami's salary cap. Update>>Marvez has retracted his previous report and has confirmed that Aponte is staying with the Dolphins organization.

Michigan: Ward Manuel's deal at Michigan has been finalized, per Joe Schad. A presser is expected for Friday.

Hinds CC (MS): Sources tell us that, at this time, Dwike Wilson remains the wide receivers coach at Hinds CC.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have named Andrew Berry their Vice President of player personnel. Berry had been serving as the pro scouting director with the Indianapolis Colts.

Green Bay Blizzard (Indoor): The Blizzard has filled their offensive line and intern positions and are no longer accepting applications. Thank you all for your overwhelming interest in the open spots.

Alderson Broaddus (D-II - WV): Alderson Broaddus has the following open dates for 2017: Sept. 2, Sept. 9, Sept. 16, and Sept. 23. We would like two home games and will travel for two away games.
