San Francisco: The 49ers have met with Chip Kelly according to Matt Maiocco who covers the team.

UW Eau Claire: Sources tell FootballScoop former SIU head coach Dale Lennon will be the new head coach at Eau Claire.

Indianapolis Colts: Rob Chudzinski, who was elevated to offensive coordinator partway through the year, has been promoted to the full time post.

USC: Former Trojans special teams coordinator John Baxter, who spent this past season at Michigan, has been announced as the new special teams coordinator at USC.

Texas State: Mike Finger reports that Everett Withers has a five year deal beginning at $650,000 and then included $25,000 raises per year. Fran was making $425,000 per Finger. At JMU Withers reportedly made just under $350,000.

Philadelphia Eagles: Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo interviewed today for the head coaching job.

Tennessee Tech (FCS): Per source, Tyree Foreman will serve as running backs coach (former RBs coach at Temple), David Napert will be offensive line coach (former OL coach at Valdosta State, ETSU, Chattanooga, etc), Derek Carr (from Temple) will coach receivers, Bobby Maffei (from Temple) will coach a defensive position, Sam Williamson is being retained as defensive line coach, Justin Matheney is being retained as operations / personnel and Price Patrick will remain on staff as well.

Houston: Darrell Wyatt will be the new receivers coach at Houston reports Joseph Duarte who covers the team. Wyatt spent this season as an analyst at Oklahoma State.

Auburn: Auburn is promoting defensive analyst Travis Williams to linebackers coach.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have announced that they've interviewed Jacksonville assistant, and former Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone.

Arizona State: Todd Graham has formally announced the hire of Kodi Burns as running backs coach.

USC: Clancy Pendergast will indeed return to USC as defensive coordinator, according to multiple reports.

Howard Payne (D-III -TX): Per source, former Azle HS (TX) outside linebackers coach Cody Gilbert has been hired as defensive coordinator. Gilbert is a Howard Payne alum.

Rutgers: Chris Ash has announced Ohio State recruiting assistant Adam Caltury as director of recruiting.

Georgia: Kirby Smart will hire Alabama defensive backs coach Mel Tucker as his defensive coordinator according to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.

Charleston Southern (FCS): Charleston Southern University is looking for FCS home and away games for 2016. The dates open are 9/24/16, 10/8/16, and 10/29/16. Will do home and home or pay a guarantee. Interested programs can contact hsmall@csuniv.edu

Ball State: As expected, the program has now formally announced Mike Neu as head coach.

Utah: Sharrieff Shah and Justin Ena will serve as co-special teams coordinators, the program has announced.

Mississippi State: Sources tell FootballScoop that there are other candidates; but Dan Mullen will not offer the defensive coordinator position to anyone else until Ed Orgeron tells him no.

James Madison: Former Dukes assistant John Bowers has rejoined the staff as director of player personnel.

Maryland: D.J. Durkin has formally announced the additions of wide receivers coach Chris Beatty, running backs coach Anthony Tucker and linebackers coach Matt Barnes.

Slippery Rock (D-II - PA): Per source, co-defensive coordinator/special teams coordinator Domenick Razzano has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

Indianapolis Colts: Batlimore Ravens linebackers coach Ted Monachino will be the Colts' defensive coordinator.

San Francisco 49ers: Stanford head coach David Shaw has declined an interview opportunity with the Niners according to the San Jose Mercury-News.

Mississippi State: Terrell Buckley, who has been coaching the corners at Louisville, has accepted a position on the Mississippi State staff, per Steve Robertson of Scout. Sources have shared with FootballScoop that Buckley interviewed for the safeties job.

Auburn: Auburn has announced New Orleans Saints defensive backs coach Wes McGriff as its new co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach.

Tennessee Tech (FCS): Per source, Tennessee Martin (FCS) wide receivers coach / pass game coordinator Justin Rascati will be the new offensive coordinator at Tennessee Tech.

Ave Maria (NAIA - FL): Ave Maria University has multiple openings for position coaches on both sides of the ball. There is also a possibility of coordinator positions opening up in the near future as well. If possible, some preliminary interviews will be held at the AFCA Convention in San Antonio. New York Jets: Assistant special teams coach Steve Hagen, and assistant offensive line coach Ron Heller have been released. Both were holdovers from Rex Ryan's staff.

Western State (D-II - CO): Western State is seeking applicants for the position of offensive line coach. This is a full-time, 12 month position with benefits. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): recruiting specific area, assisting with practice and game planning, film breakdown, and other administrative duties assigned by the Head Coach. This position may serve as the Strength & Conditioning Coach, preference given to those candidates with experience. NEW Research: Adjusting the “Dump” RPO to Attack Man Coverages - As defenses start to squeeze the number three receiver taking away vertical lanes in the RPO game, OC’s are left with finding ways to get him the ball. Clay Patterson, the head coach at Northeast Oklahoma A&M details how he adjusted his “Dump” RPO- a run/pass option concept which produced 12 TD’s, averaged 15 yards per pass and 6 yards per carry this season for Trinity Valley Community College (TX) to attack man coverage structures. Lazio Marines (Italy): The Lazio Marines located in Rome, Italy, are looking to close out their 2016 coaching staff with an intern offensive line coach. The position will run from January 30th until July 10th. The ideal candidate is a young coach looking to get his foot in the door or a retired coach that still wants to contribute to the game while seeing the world. We run the no-huddle, air raid offense. Ideally, we'd like a candidate with experience playing or coaching in the air raid. The coaching position does not include a salary, but we are able to provide roundtrip airfare, a private bedroom in Ostia (seaside suburb of Rome), daily meals, transportation, gym pass, cell phone, visa, and insurance. There are no opportunities for a side job and we will only consider applicants that will be traveling alone. Georgia Military (JC): Georgia Military College is searching for a defensive assistant coach to fill an opening on its junior college football staff. Applicants should preferably have experience coaching the defensive line or defensive linebackers at the college level and experience with coaching special teams would be desired. Also, experience with coordination of strength & conditioning programs for college level football players is preferred. The position will entail other off the field responsibilities such as academic oversight/coordination of student athletes, strength & conditioning training of student athletes, and other such duties to support team and student athlete development. Tennessee Titans: The Titans interviewed former Lions general manager Martin Mayhew for their open GM spot on Wednesday, according to Adam Schefter.

Ohio State: Urban Meyer noted as his presser today that he does not envision any staff changes moving forward.

Tennessee Tech (FCS): Western Carolina defensive coordinator Shawn Quinn will be the new DC at Tennessee Tech, sources confirm to FootballScoop. We also hear that Western Carolina corners coach Chris Polizzi will join the staff at Tennessee Tech as well.

Grand Valley State (D-II - MI): Per source,Grand Valley State has given head coach Matt Mitchell a contract extension keeping him with the program through 2019. Mitchell has an overall record of 57-19 since taking over the program in 2010, including two trips to the Division II National semi-finals.

Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs have informed defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier that his option will not be picked up for 2016, per Rick Stroud who also notes that the Bucs will not pick up the options of Gil Byrd (DBs), Larry Marme (assistant to the HC) or Mikal Smith (safeties).

South Alabama: Sources confirm to FootballScoop that defensive coordinator Travis Pearson is leaving the staff. This was Pearson's second season as defensive coordinator, third overall at South Alabama.

Jackson State (FCS): In addition to the news of Dwayne Curry coming (reported last night), sources tell FootballScoop that Mississippi State recruiting specialist Sleepy Robinson is leaving to become running backs coach / recruiting coordinator at Jackson State.

Clancy Pendergast: Yesterday we reported that barring contractual issues Clancy Pendergast was expected to become the new defensive coordinator at USC. Overnight, we heard from source in California who relays that USC, as of last night, was no longer convinced that it was just contractual issues that was the holdup. There is belief that Oregon continues to make their pitch; and one source said USC "won't ultimately be convinced he's ready to leave the NFL until he signs" with a college team.

Tennessee Titans: Tampa Bay director of player personnel Jon Robinson will interview for GM job with the Titans tomorrow, per Adam Schefter.

Culver-Stockton (NAIA - MO): Culver-Stockton College, a comprehensive private college located in Canton, MO seeks candidates for the position of a full-time Assistant Football Coach. The position will be flexible and could be on either side of the ball. Candidates should possess 2 years of successful collegiate coaching or 10 years of high school coaching experience and the ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes. Individuals must have a strong commitment to academic success as well as compliance with NAIA, HAAC and institutional policies and procedures. Bachelor’s Degree required. Salary is commensurate with experience Culver-Stockton College also offers a competitive benefits package. North Carolina Central (FCS): NC Central University Football is looking for a graduate assistant. This could be a home and home agreement for 2017 or possible assistance with travel. We are looking for NAIA or Division 3 opponent, regional preferred.
