Oklahoma: The OU Board of Regents has officially approved a two-year contract extension for Bob Stoops. The extension, which includes no additional raises or bonuses, keeps Stoops at Oklahoma through 2020. Should Stoops remain in Norman through the life of his current deal, he will tie Bennie Owen as the school's all-time longest-tenured football coach. 

Niagra: Athletics director Tom Crowley has been let go after 11 months on the job. Associate AD for external relations Steve Butler will serve as acting athletics director. 

Akron: Head coach Terry Bowden has announced that offensive line coach Alan Arrington has been promoted to assistant head coach.
