Please lift prayers for the family of former Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr. His four year-old grandson, Chad, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor known as DIPG, which is described here as "the worst form of brain cancer." Hold a good thought for Lloyd, his daughter-in-law Tammi and son Jason, and their family today.

Navy: Defensive coordinator Buddy Green has returned to practice after nearly a week-long bout with flu-like symptoms, according to the Capital Gazette. Green did not show up for work on Friday, Sept. 19, and checked himself into the hospital on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 20. He checked himself out of the hospital later that day, coached Navy's home-opener against Rutgers from the sidelines, and then checked himself back into the hospital after the game. He was finally discharged on Tuesday, and returned to practice on Wednesday.
