Butler County CC: We are hearing that Valdosta State defensive grad assistant T.C. Abbott acceped the defensive backs job at Butler County CC in Kansas.

Technology: A lot of staffs out there have made a change recently in either their recruiting or compliance software. We hear Marshall just switched their athletic department to Jump Forward and we are aware of a number of other changes over the past few months. We're doing a little research. Kentucky: Our sources tell us that Joker Phillips has hired David Armstrong as director of player personnel. Armstrong ran the Southeast Scout recruiting service.

High School Scoop: There have been a ton of head coaching changes today.

Point University: Former Avila University head coach Kevin Porter has accepted the head coaching job at Point University.

WPI (Worcester, MA): member of the Liberty League (Division III), is currently accepting applications for an offensive-skill intern position. The position runs from August until May (10 month position). The position includes a stipend to be paid throughout the duration of the appointment. In addition, housing is included with the position. Some meals will be paid for as well. There are no graduate school benefits or medical benefits included with the position. The position will include coaching a position, video breakdown, analysis, and exchange responsibilities, as well as recruiting student-athletes both regionally and nationally. Preference will be given to those who have coached an offensive skill position (WR/RB/QB) or who played an offensive skill position at the college level. Minorities are encouraged to apply. John Carroll University: (Cleveland, Ohio), a Jesuit University and a NCAA Division III member competing in the Ohio Athletic Conference, invite applications for a Graduate Assistant coaching position (Receivers or Offensive Line). The review of applications will begin immediately and the positions will be filled as soon as possible. This is a 10-month appointment with duties split between football coaching responsibilities, recruiting and graduate course work. The compensation includes graduate school tuition and a stipend. Responsibilities include coaching a position for receivers or offensive line, opponent scouting and video editing (Webb Gameday), scouting reports, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Recruiting responsibilities include managing a selected territory, game day and weekly visits, and data input. The successful candidate must be accepted into the graduate school at John Carroll University. The candidate must possess knowledge of and experience in coaching collegiate football. Playing experience at the collegiate level is highly desired. The candidate must demonstrate ability to communicate in a positive manner with student athletes, coaches and alumni. Southern Arkansas: Our sources tell us offensive line coach Trey LaValle has resigned to accept a position at Springdale HS.

Avila University (MO): We have learned that head coach Kevin Porter has resigned and will be replaced by offensive coordinator Justin Berna.
