Let us know what you hear. Since 1999, all sources remain confidential. or call / text 225.229.3429

Southern Miss: A source close to the search committee just called his report in. Click here to read the latest

Missouri Southern (D-II): We have learned that Daryl Daye, Buffalo Bills assistant to the head coach, will be named head coach at Missouri Southern. Daye has been with the Bills the past two seasons and spent 2006-2009 at Missouri Southern as defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator and linebackers coach.

Arizona State: We are told Mike Norvell is following Todd Graham to ASU. Mike was at both Tulsa and Pitt with Graham. He served as co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers / recruiting coordinator at Pitt.

UCLA: Jim L. Mora has announced that Inoke Breckterfield will be retained as the defensive line coach.

Pitt: Here's what we're hearing...first of all there is significant interest in the job. We hear the administration is very high on Paul Rhoads at Iowa State and Teryl Austin of the Ravens. We have also heard that Frank Cignetti, Sal Sunseri, Bud Foster and Mario Cristobal would all welcome the would plenty of others. One viewer wrote in to say how great it would be for the players if they hired Bill Cowher. Yeah, that would be cool. We'll keep you posted.

FAU: As we previously told you, Marvin Sanders is the defensive coordinator. Ross Watson, an intern at Nebraska this season and a grad assistant before that, is joining the staff and will coach the secondary.

Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL): It is being reported that the Roughriders will name Corey Chamblin the next head coach tomorrow afternoon. Chamblin most recently served as the defensive coordinator with the Hamilton Tiger - Cats last season.

Fordham: Just updating yesterday's info. Look for Joe Moorhead to be named head coach tomorrow.

Coastal Carolina: Yeah, we kinda had the feeling this would happen...since we began to mention some of the names that Coastal has reviewed we have received quite a few emails about other "candidates". Sounds to us like they still have a lot of candidates "involved". Will keep you posted.

Ohio State: Mickey Marotti has now officially been named Assistant Athletic Director for Football Sports Performance.

Jones County JC (MS): We hear Ray Perkins will soon be named head coach at Jones County. Perkins is the former head coach of the New York Giants, Alabama, Tampa Bay Bucs, Arkansas State, etc...We have been told that Perkins, semi-retired, has been volunteer coaching in south Mississippi for the past few years.

D-II National Championship Game: Not only will Wayne State vs. Pitt State be a great game; but it also will be played on one of the finest surfaces around by our sponsor ProGrass. ProGrass installed the new turf at Braly Municipal Stadium (home of North Alabama) in 2010. The game is slated for a 11am CST kick on ESPN2. For more information on ProGrass, please contact G. Aaron Klotz (former NCAA college coach) for all your needs at 517-902-4453 or

Washington State: We are told to expect Mike Leach to hire Joe Salave'a as his defensive line coach. Salave'a served in that same capacity at Arizona this past season.

Southern Miss: Local sources in Hattiesburg report that both Monken and Ellis Johnson's interviews were yesterday and that Hatcher, Kirby Smart and Tyrone Nix are slated to interview today.

Liberty: We hear former Liberty wide receivers / recruiting coordinator Charlie Skalaski, has decided not to go to Richmond and will interview with Turner Gill at Liberty.

Coastal Carolina: We hear that Coastal is trying to raise outside funds to be able to bring in the right head coach (they owe former head coach David Bennett a nice chunk of change based on his contract...the number isn't finalized but is believed to be between $500,000 and $1 million). We have been told that both of the coaches from South Carolina that were on Coastal's shortlist are no longer part of the discussion. We are told that Chuck Reedy (Goose Creek high school head coach), Maurice Drayton (assistant head coach / wide receivers / special teams at Coastal) and Kerwin Bell (Jacksonville Univ. head coach), North Greenville head coach Jamey Chadwell, Delta State head coach Ron Roberts, and Campbell University head coach Dale Steele and others are involved. More to come on this one...

Arkansas State: Sources tell us that Auburn's Eli Drinkwitz (offensive quality control) will also be joining Gus at Arkansas State.

Some that sources close to the program tell us have a good chance at the job include Ron Aiken (Arizona Cardinals defensive line), Phil Parker (Iowa defensive backs), Brock Spack (Illinois State head coach) and Darrell Wilson (Iowa linebackers). We'll keep you posted.
