Louisville: We have been told that Charlie Strong has indeed talked with former West Virginia offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jeff Mullen.

Alcorn State: We hear former Grambling State quarterback Bruce Eugene accepted the quarterbacks job. Vyron Brown has indeed accepted the offensive coordinator position, according to our sources. Brown had recently accepted the running backs job at Prairie View A&M.

Northern Colorado: Our sources tell us that Dartmouth College defensive line coach James Jones accepted the special teams coordinator / defensive line job at Northern Colorado.

New Mexico Highlands: We have learned that Fresno City College defensive line coach Robbie Quinn has accepted the defensive coordinator job at New Mexico Highlands.

Maryland: There is a report that Randy Edsall has now offered the defensive coordinator job to Randy Shannon.

Washington State: Paul Wulff has hired former UCLA defensive line coach Todd Howard as defensive line coach. 

Tennessee Titans: Former Houston Texans defensive coordinator Frank Bush has interviewed for a position with the Titans.

UCLA: Nevada's Jim Mastro has accepted the run game coordinator / tight ends / F-backs job at UCLA. Defensive line coach Todd Howard will not return to the program. Mastro will earn more than $300,000 annually on a three-year deal.

Louisville: It will be interesting to see if Charlie Strong talks with Mike Sanford Jr, who serves as the quarterbacks coach / passing game coordinator at Western Kentucky. Sanford's father currently serves as the offensive coordinator at Louisville. Of course, Strong could turn to former Clemson offensive coordiantor / quarterbacks coach Billy Napier, former West Virginia offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jeff Mullen, or Nebraska offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson. We have heard that a current SEC assistant is involved in the search. Mike Sanford Sr could also move over to quarterbacks, allowing Strong to hire a new tight ends coach.

Idaho: Our sources have just told us that head coach Robb Akey plans to hire former Memphis offensive line coach John McDonnell in the same capacity.

University of Montana Western: (NAIA) Intern Assistant Football Coach. Position includes a stipend, room, and board. Email resumes to r_nourse@umwestern.edu. No phone calls please.

Oklahoma State: Mike Gundy is the latest to raid Kevin Wilson's staff at Indiana. Gundy has hired Indiana running backs coach Jemal Singleton. Singleton recently joined the Indiana staff after coaching the Air Force running backs last season.

Murray State: Mitch Stewart has been promoted from wide receivers to offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. Sean Dawkins has been promoted to run game coordinator. Mike Polly has been promoted from restricted earnings to tight ends / tackles / special teams coordinator and defensive line coach Kenny Parker has added the titles of strength and conditioning coach and director of player development.

Rice: We are hearing that Akron defensive line coach Derrick Jackson has accepted a position on the defensive side at Rice.

UCLA: The LA Times reports that Kentucky defensive backs coach Steve Brown interviewed for the defensive coordinator position. Brown served as the defensive coordinator the last several years at Kentucky.

Dartmouth: We have learned that head coach Buddy Teevens has hired Navarro College defensive line coach Calvin Thibodeaux as defensive line coach.

Gardner-Webb: Our sources tell us that Travis Cunningham has been retained as linebackers coach and Valpo defensive coordinator Tony Pierce will be named defensive coordinator. Another source tells us that Tennessee State offensive line coach Dwayne "Billy" Ledford has accepted the offensive line job.

Utah: Offensive coordinator / tight ends coach Norm Chow signed two-and-a-half year contract worth $275,000 annually. Chow will receive an additional months pay for a trip to any bowl game. He will receive an additional $20,000 if the Utes play in a BCS bowl game.

Grambling State: We hear Grambling has interest in hiring former head coach Doug Williams, who is currently serving as the GM with the Virginia Destroyers (UFL).

Arizona Cardinals: There is a report that Cincinnati Bengals defensive backs coach Louie Cioffi will be joining the Cardinals' staff in the same capacity.
