Texas Tech: We hear Texas Tech is very interested in Marshall safeties coach Fred Tate (former defensive line coach at Chattanooga and Southern Miss) for their open defensive line job. 

Winnipeg Blue Bombers: We hear Winnipeg has hired Will Plemons, former Fresno State defensive line coach, as their new defensive line coach. 

Penn State: We have confirmed tonight that Bill O'Brien has agreed to hire Charlie Fisher, quarterbacks / passing game coordinator at Miami (OH), to complete his staff. Prior to joining Don Treadwell's staff at Miami, Fisher spent nearly a decade at Vanderbilt primarily coaching the receivers. 

Baltimore Ravens: As we told you last week, former Rutgers running backs coach Chris Hewitt has been hired as assistant special teams coordinator and Matt Weiss has been promoted to defensive assistant from defensive quality control / assistant to the head coach. 

Saint Francis (PA): Robert Morris co-defensive coordinator / secondary Scott Benzel has been hired as co-defensive coordinator / assistant head coach at Saint Francis. 

Nevada: Chris Ault has received a two year extension through the 2015 season. 

Alabama: Word began to circulate yesterday that offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland was interviewing with Tampa Bay. We hear today, he plans to stay with Alabama.

Oklahoma State: We have confirmed that Van Malone, defensive backs / recruiting coordinator at Tulsa, has accepted the safeties job on the staff at Oklahoma State. 

Cincinnati: Former offensive grad assistant at Michigan Roy Manning has been hired as outside linebackers coach at Cincinnati and John Jancek has been promoted to defensive coordinator / linebackers. 

Kentucky: With Tee Martin leaving there undoubtedly is huge interest in the UK receivers job (one of the coaches at the SEC coaches meeting told us that Joker received over 40 texts during the meeting alone!); however sources tell us that Joker already has his guy in mind. Based on what we're hearing, we think an announcement early-to-mid next week is likely. 

Notre Dame College (D-II - OH): Notre Dame College, a D-II program that competes in the GLIAC, is seeking applicants for a grad assistant position working with the linebackers or tight ends. Bachelors degree required with successful football playing and/or coaching experience, strong professional/interpersonal communication skills and organizational efficiency, outstanding character and leadership qualities a must. The successful applicant should also possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, and Access software. Some experience with DSV/HUDL digital editing system is a plus. Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division II, and Notre Dame College. Duties include coaching your own position and; plan, organize, and instruct positional meetings and drills; contribute to game plan; recruit your own territory and attract top quality student-athletes to attend Notre Dame College. Administrative duties include: game week organizational tasks, film breakdown, opponent scouting, self-scouting, tendency reports, video cut-ups, scouting reports, assist S&C coach with weight room, oversee and counsel players on academic and social issues, and any other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Compensation includes a stipend paid over a 10 month contract, housing, free meal plan in campus dining hall. No health benefits are included with this position. The job includes a monthly living stipend as well as full tuition for graduate courses at NDC. Bowling Green: We have learned that former UCLA linebackers coach Clark Lea will be named to the same position at Bowling Green. Earlier today we had contradictory information and we apologize for that. 

Arkansas: Bowl bonuses...Bobby Petrino received $75,000, Paul Petrino (OC) $35k, Paul Haynes (DC) $35k, Willy Robinson (former DC) $27k, Chris Klenakis (OL) $20k, Steve Caldwell (DEs / Special Teams) $20k, Bobby Allen (DBs) $18k, Kris Cinkovich (WRs) $17k, Tim Horton (RBs) $16k and Jason Veltkamp (strength) $16k.

Holy Cross: Sources close to the program tell us former Memphis secondary coach Shannon Morrison will be named defensive coordinator / secondary. 

UAB: Sources tell us that quarterbacks coach Jeff Brohm has been promoted to offensive coordinator. 

Clemson: Clemson's 9 assistants now make $4.2 million combined. Chad Morris (OC) - $1.3 million, Robbie Caldwell (OL) - $310,000, Tony Elliott (RBs) $205,000, Jeff Scott (WRs) $215,000, Brent Venables (DC) - $800,000, Marion Hobby (DL) $375,000, Dan Brooks (DL) $310,000, Charlie Harbison (DBs) $375,000 and Danny Pearman (TEs) no current update; but was at $210,000. Dabo, who made $1.75 million last season was set to be increased to $2.2 million due to contractual provisions; but opted to stay only go up to $1.9 million in order to ensure sufficient funds were available for his assistants. Head strength coach Joey Batson earns $200,000. 

Tampa Bay: We've heard that Greg Schiano and Mike Sullivan are considering a number of college coaches for the offensive line job at Tampa. We'll keep you posted. 

Youngstown State: We have confirmed that former UCLA and South Florida defensive coordinator Joe Tresey will be the next defensive coordinator at Youngstown. 

Middle Tennessee: Sources out of Lubbick tell us that former Texas Tech offensive line coach Matt Moore is interviewing as well. We'll keep you posted. Elarbee is happening for one of the two slots. 

Sam Houston State: We hear that former Missouri Southern head coach Bart Tatum has been hired to coach the offensive line.

New Mexico State: We hear that Will Martin who coached the corners last season will move to linebackers. Sounds like DeWayne Walker will now be more involved with the secondary. 

Washington: We hear that University of San Diego running backs coach Andrew Rolin is joining the UW staff in an offensive quality control position. 

Coffeyville CC: Sources tell us that former New Mexico State defensive grad assistant Ben Barton has been hired to coach the linebackers at Coffeyville. 

Middle Tennessee: Local reporters caught up with both Jimmy Ray Stephens and Rick Stockstill yesterday. Both largely said the same thing...Stockstill came to Stephens to say he was going to ask him to focus on the Tackles and he planned to bring in another coach to work with the guards and tackles. According to Stockstill it was made clear several times there would be no adjustment in pay and this was not a demotion. Sources in Murfreesboro all say that Glen Elarbee is likely to be the guy that is brought in to work with the centers & guards. We heard last night that Stockstill has asked former Colorado State and NC State offensive line coach Pat Meyer to come in to interview (presumably now for the tackles spot). We'll keep you posted.
