Missouri Southern: Chris Couch has been hired as running backs coach. Couch was defensive quality control at Georgia Southern. 

Louisiana College (D-III): Defensive coordinator Buck Buchanan is no longer with the program. Sources tell us the replacement is likely to come from within the program.

Dallas Cowboys: Dallas has named Bill Callahan offensive coordinator / offensive line coach. Head coach Jason Garrett will still call the offensive plays. The Cowboys have also added Cleveland Browns secondary coach Jerome Henderson to coach the defensive backs.

Wisconsin: Reports say that Western Kentucky offensive coordinator Zach Azzanni will be the next receivers coach.

Tennessee: With the departure of Harry Hiestand to Notre Dame, the Vols have hired former North Carolina associate head coach / offensive line coach Sam Pittman.

Ferris State (DII - MI): Northview HS (MI) head coach Rob Zeitman has joined Tony Annese's staff.

Penn State: Bill O'Brien has announced the addition of Patriots assistant George Godsey to the Nittany Lion staff as quarterbacks coach. The hire completes O'Brien's staff, just to recap; Stan Hixon (assistant head coach / receivers), Charles London (running backs), Mac McWhorter (offensive line), John Strollo (tight ends), Ted Roof (defensive coordinator), John Butler (special teams coordinator / defensive backs), Larry Johnson (defensive line), Ron Vanderlinden (linebackers).

West Virginia: We hear that Joe DeForest's title will be co-defensive coordinator.

Pittsburgh: Chryst has announced the addition of Matt House as the secondary coach. House spent the past three years as a defensive quality control coach with the St. Louis Rams.

Clemson: More changes are on the way at Clemson we're told. 

Kansas City Chiefs: Romeo Crennel stated on the radio today that he will continue to call the defense next season. He also stated that he plans to retain the entire defensive staff.

Oklahoma State: Joe DeForest is definitely on the move. More to come on this.

Ohio State: Urban Meyer has announced the official titles for Tim Hinton and Ed Warriner. Hinton will serve as recruiting coordinator as well as tight ends and fullbacks coach, and Warriner will be the co - offensive coordinator / run game coordinator / offensive line coach.

City College of San Francisco: Randy Sims has been hired as the defensive ends coach, and Tim Fajita has been brought on to coach the offensive line. Corners coach Jordan Murchinson will not return next season.

Detroit Lions: Defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham, offensive coordinator Scott Linehan and special teams coordinator Danny Crossman have all signed contract extensions.

West Virginia: West Virginia has offered the defensive coordinator job to Oklahoma's Brent Venables. 

Wright State: Wright State University Club Football located in Dayton, Ohio is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill several volunteer coaching positions (LB, DL, DB and RB). Dayton area applicants only please. These unpaid positions offer a wealth of experience for the passionate candidate. Must be available from 3-7 pm Mon-Fri. Start date March 1, 2012. Duties include coaching a specific position, assisting coordinators, organization and planning practices, game preparation and other duties assigned by Head Coach Paul Grimes. Pittsburgh: Sources tell us that Northern Illinois running backs coach Eddie Faulkner has accepted the same position with the Panthers.

Chicago Bears: We hear that Tampa Bay offensive coordinator Greg Olson will interview for the quarterbacks opening with the Bears.

Wright State: Assistant head coach Keith Mora will be calling the defensive signals for the 2012 season. Ben Postigo has been promoted to offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach as well. Eric Strickland has also joined the staff in a special teams capacity.

Buffalo Bills: David Lee has accepted the quarterbacks job with the Buffalo Bills. Lee is a former offensive coordinator with Ole Miss.

Clemson: Defensive coordinator Kevin Steele has been released. 

Jim Stanley: Former Oklahoma State coach Jim Stanley hass passed away. Please keep his family and those close to him in your prayers.

Akron: Terry Bowden has finalized his coaching staff. To recap what we've brought you the past few weeks; Chuck Amato (associate head coach / defensive coordinator), Terrell Buckley (corners), Alan Arrington (offensive line), Jeff Bowden (special teams coordinator / outside receivers), Trent Boykin (running backs), AJ Milwee (quarterbacks), John Pont (recruiting coordinator / inside receivers), Todd Stroud (defensive line), Mike Woodford (safeties), as well as Ben Murphy and John Greico (strength and conditioning).

UAB: Garrick McGee has announced most of his coaching staff (as we have been telling you over the past couple weeks). Just to recap; Joe Gilbert will serve as the assistant head coach / offensive coordinator / offensive line coach, Reggie Johnson will be the defensive coordinator / linebacker coach, Anthony Blevins will coach the corners, Jeff Brohm will oversee the quarterbacks, Richard Owens will have the tight ends, Brandon Sharp will coach the safeties, Jimmy Williams will coach the defensive line, and Tyson Helton will oversee the running backs.

Washington: We hear that Oregon State defensive backs coach Keith Heyward will join the Washington staff. Update> Confirmed. 

Oklahoma: Bob Stoops has confirmed what we told you a few days ago, Mike Stoops will join the staff. Defensive backs coach Willie Martinez is currently exploring other opportunities.

UCF: Todd Stansbury has been named the new athletic director. Stansbury previously served as the executive associate athletic director at Oregon State.

Auburn: Defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder's deal is reportedly worth about $850,000 a year.

Utica College (DIII - NY): Utica College (Empire 8 Conference) is currently seeking an Assistant Football Coach. Experience coaching and / or playing WR and special teams preferred. The position includes a $6,700 stipend, housing, meal plan, and 12.0 credits per year for graduate school. Coaching responsibilities to include but not limited to a Varsity position coach with junior varsity game day responsibilities. Experience playing and or coaching preferred. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program, including but not limited to, practice organization, contest preparation, recruitment weekends, student athlete development, spring football practice, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, one year coaching experience is preferred. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Cincinnati Bengals: Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden has received a 3 year extension worth $3.6 million.

Stetson: We have confirmed that Brian Young will become the new defensive coordinator at Stetson. Young was the defensive backs coach at Cornell last season.

North Alabama: Miles College head coach Reginald Ruffin has turned down an offer to join Bobby Wallace's staff.

Texas A&M: We hear that Marcel Yates will be joining the defensive staff. Yates coached the defensive backs at Boise State last season.

North Carolina: We have confirmed that Randy Jordan will be joining the staff.

Yale: We have confirmed that Tony Reno will become the new head coach. 

Ball State: We hear that Delaware assistant head coach / offensive line coach Damian Wroblewski is heading to Ball State.

Buffalo: Defensive coordinator William Inge has accepted the assistant defensive line job with the Buffalo Bills. 

Modesto JuCo: Former Gavilan College defensive coordinator Rob Cozart has accepted the outside linebackers job at Modesto. 

Ole Miss: We hear that Tyler Siskey (receivers coach at Arkansas State under Freeze) will join the Ole Miss staff in an off the field role. 

Brevard College (DII - NC): Brevard is looking for two games for the 2012 season. The open dates are September 8, and October 13th. If interested please e-mail kellehmj@brevard.edu with your school and contact information.

Kansas: (this one is for the San Antonio Tuesday night dinner crew) As we told you on December 9th, Florida offensive grad assistant Jeff Blasko will coach the tight ends / assistant special teams coordinator. 

Washington Redskins: The Washington Post reported yesterday that receivers coach Keenan McCardell and safeties coach Steve Jackson will not return. Former Tampa Bay head coach Raheem Morris will be joining the staff to coach the defensive backs per the Post.
