Maine: We have learned that University of Rochester offensive line coach Jeff Ambrosie has accepted the same position at Maine. 

Texas Tech: Former New Mexico grad assistant Carlos Alvarado has accepted a position on the staff at Texas Tech. 

Holy Cross: We hear that everything is now full at Holy Cross. The recent additions include Shannon Morrison as defensive coordinator / defensive backs (from Larry Porter's staff at Memphis), Bill Samko as offensive line (former head coach at Tufts & Univ. of the South), Chris Nugai as tight ends (former running backs / special teams coordinator at Columbia) and Jon Guynes as outside linebackers (returning to Holy Cross after getting MBA and one year as defensive line coach at Assumption).

New York Jets: We have learned that Temple grad assistant Mark Deleone and former Dolphins quality control coach Tony Sparano Jr. have joined the staff as coaching assistants (Deleone working with the defense, Sparano Jr. with the offense). We have also learned that the Jets have hired North Texas linebackers coach Anthony Weaver who will also have a quality control type role we hear. 

Coastal Carolina: Renato Diaz has been hired to coach the receivers. Diaz spent last season in the same capacity with Georgetown.

UCLA: We hear director of football operations Steven Radicevic has been hired by the Cincinnati Bengals as a regional scout. 

Utah: Salary update. Head coach Kyle Whittingham's base salary has increased from $340,000 to $440,000 for 2012 (in total Whittingham now makes $2 million / year). Offensive coordinator Brian Johnson has received a $120,000 raise to go with his new role (will now make $225,000). Some of the other staff is as follows; special teams coordinator / running backs coach Jay Hill ($225,000), receivers coach / pass game coordinator Aaron Roderick ($200,000), offensive line coach Dan Finn ($200,000), and defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake ($225,000).

Columbia: Toronto Argonauts offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jaime Elizondo has joined the staff as offensive coordinator. Columbia has also announced the addition of Wendell Davis to coach the receivers. Davis is a former two time All American receiver at LSU and most recently coached at Palo Alto HS (CA) last season.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Columbia has announced that offensive coordinator Ben McDaniels has accepted an offensive assistant position with the Bucs.

Georgia Southern: A few roles have been shuffled on staff. Receivers coach Lamont Seward will move to running backs, recruiting coordinator / tight ends coach, Brett Gilliland will now coach the receivers, Sean Saturnio will serve as the tight ends coach and quarterbacks coach Mitch Ware has added the title of assistant head coach.

Nebraska: Sources tell us that Tennessee defensive backs / recruiting coordinator Terry Joseph has been offered the defensive backs job at Nebraska. If Joseph accepts, and sources we have spoken with expect him to, Tennessee will have 7 new assistants this season. 

East Carolina: Former Arizona outside receivers coach Dave Nichol has now been officially announced as outside receivers coach at ECU. 

Georgia Southern: Linebackers coach Kevin Corless has added the title of co-defensive coordinator.

Stanford: David Shaw has now officially announced the addition of Lehigh defensive coordinator David Kotulski as inside linebackers coach.

Howard Payne (D-III - TX): We have learned that McMurry (D-III - TX) linebackers coach Brandon Day has accepted the defensive backs job at Howard Payne. 

Indiana State: We hear that Cincinnati defensive assistant Mike Mickens has an offer to join the staff at Indiana State. Not clear at this time in what capactiy. 

Cincinnati: Sources tell us that Butch Jones will hire from the outside to replace Kerry Coombs. 

Ohio State: We have confirmed that Kerry Coombs has accepted the position with Ohio State. 

Montana State: We have learned that former New Mexico linebackers coach Toby Neinas will likely accept the defensive backs job at Montana State. We also hear that defensive line coach Bo Beck will take on the recruiting coordinator title. 

Montreal Alouettes: We hear William & Mary running backs coach Brendan Nugent has accepted a position on the Alouettes staff. 

East Los Angeles College (JC): Sources tell us that offensive line coach Steve Mojarro has been promoted to head coach (and will continue to coach the OL). Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks Nick Garrett has added the associate head coach title as has defensive coordinator Jeff Ackerman. 

Grand View University (NAIA –Des Moines, IA): Defensive backs coach Austin Flynn has been promoted to offensive coordinator. Grand View is now looking to fill a Full-Time Defensive Backs position. This position will also have other duties assigned within the Athletic Department. Interested coaches should email Defensive Coordinator Joe Woodley at jwoodley@grandview.edu.

Evangel University (NAIA - Springfield, MO): We have learned that Evangel has hired former Texas Southern defensive coordinator Tremaine Jackson as defensive line coach and former New Mexico State program assistant Ryen Carew as receivers coach. They have also promoted offensive coordinator Joe Bever to assistant head coach. 

Tennessee Tech (FCS): Tennessee Tech is looking for a home game September 8th, 2012 or October 13th, 2012. Will pay a guarantee or will go home and home with the 2012 game being at home. Please contact associate head coach Billy Taylor at wtaylor@tntech.edu.

Arkansas Baptist (JC): Arkansas Baptist is looking for a home game or a home and home series for 2012 season. Open date is August 25th, 2012. Drake (FCS): As we told you back on the 21st, Drake has now officially named former Nebraska Omaha defensive coordinator Brad McCaslin their new defensive coordinator.

Fordham University (FCS): Fordham is looking to fill an open date for one game for this upcoming 2012 season. The dates that they have available are October 13 or 20. They will be looking for either a home game against a 1-AA or Div. II opponent, or they would be willing to travel to an FBS opponent. Ohio State: We are told and the Columbus Dispatch is reporting as well that Cincinnati associate head coach / defensive backs / special teams coordinator Kerry Coombs is expected to join Urban Meyer's staff at Ohio State.
