Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of former Arkansas State head coach Steve Roberts today. His father, Carl, has passed away.
Texas: Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Stefan Stevenson reports tonight that "Source close to Texas executive council of regents says Nick Saban will be the next Longhorns coach." Simply fascinating to watch this unfold...
Alabama: Gil Brandt has reported that Nick Saban is in negotiations with the Crimson Tide for an extension in the $7 million range. Just a reminder that a deal isn't a deal until it is signed.

Wake Forest: Dave Clawson said at his press conference today he'd like to bring Bowling Green offensive coordinator Warren Ruggiero, defensive coordinator Mike Elko and special teams coordinator Adam Scheier with him to Wake Forest. Clawson mentioned that one of his coordinators was a candidate for the Bowling Green head job. Through a separate source we had heard that Scheier was a candidate for the job, but have not confirmed that.
Allegheny (D-III - PA): The school is no longer accepting applicants for their assistant coaching job.
Boise State: Sources tell us Dirk Koetter is working out the details but we have not yet confirmed. Update >> Boise State's Rivals site (as well as numerous other outlets) is reporting that Bryan Harsin has reportedly withdrawn from the search process. Also, Jeff Tedford has interviewed for the job as well. 4pm ct Update> Sources tell us its down to Tedford and Koetter. We were told to expect resolution tonight.
Ole Miss: Hugh Freeze has received a one-year contract extension, pushing his salary to $3 million. The Rebels' assistant salary pool will also increase by $400,000.

Both the university and Mack have said the decision has not been finalized yet (but this is still happening folks). Here's what we have so far. More to come...
Eastern Michigan: Louisville running backs coach / special teams coordinator Kenny Carter has interviewed for the Eastern Michigan job. Eastern Illinois head coach Dino Babers has also interviewed and is considered by some we speak with to be the favorite for the job. Expect a decision this week.

Texas A&M: The Texas A&M Board of Regents will approve Kevin Sumlin's contract extension Thursday according to Kate Hairopoulos of the Dallas Morning News.
Iowa State: Sources tell us that the most likely situation at Iowa State is that offensive line coach Chris Klenakis or receivers coach Todd Sturdy get promoted to offensive coordinator. New hires will then fill in the appropriate positions based on best fit within the staff.
