San Jose State: Sources tell FootballScoop that defensive line coach James Jones and outside linebackers coach Joe Staab will not return. SJSU has also previously announced that defensive coordinator Greg Robinson is retiring.

Southern Illinois: Southern Illinois plans to name interim head coach Nick Hill their new full-time head coach tomorrow per source. Local WSIL has reported the same.

Montana Western (NAIA): Ryan Nourse, who has spent the past two seasons as athletic director, has been named head coach. Nourse previously served as head coach of the football program from 2011-2013 before taking over the AD duties. He will serve in an interim AD capacity until a replacement can be hired.

Maryland: Sources tell FootballScoop that DJ Durkin offered the offensive line position to Arkansas State OL coach Glen Elarbee but Elarbee plans to remain with Blake Anderson's staff.

Navy: Navy has announced that former defensive coordinator Buddy Green plans to retire after the Military Bowl. Sources tell FootballScoop that defensive backs coach Keith Jones will make that his last game as well.

Vanderbilt: Per source, Vanderbilt is planning to promote current grad assistant Chris Marve, a former All SEC linebacker, to fill the linebackers position.

Maryland: Maryland has announced that Pete Lembo's title is assistant head coach / special teams coordinator.

East Carolina: Per SI, Vanderbilt associate head coach / linebackers coach Kenwick Thompson is joining Scottie Montgomery's staff as defensive coordinator.

Georgia: UGA spent over $42,000 on the search firm that helped them land Kirby Smart, per March Weiszer.

Purdue: Tight ends coach Terry Malone is being promoted to offensive coordinator. Malone is the former offensive coordinator at Michigan, where he served in that capacity from 2002-2005.

Upper Iowa (D-II): Upper Iowa University is seeking candidates for the full-time position of assistant football coach. The position to be determined by strengths of the candidate. Minimum of three (3) years coaching experience in intercollegiate football or related experience. Tulane: Secondary coach Jason Rollins will be the only assistant retained by Willie Fritz, per Scott Kushner of The Advocate.

Eastern Michigan: Brad McCaslin will not return as defensive coordinator.

Ball State: Head coach Pete Lembo is resigning to join D.J. Durkin's staff at Maryland, per Bruce Feldman. Read more here. We can confirm the move.

UTEP: Per source, Angelo State (D-II - TX) assistant head coach / offensive coordinator Theron Aych will be the new receivers coach at UTEP.

Miami: Despite stating earlier that he planned to accept Kirby Smart's offer to keep him at Georgia, the AJC is reporting that Mark Richt has convinced running backs coach Thomas Brown to come to Miami instead. Per the AJC, Richt's offer might include co-offensive coordinator title (note: Richt is strongly considering calling the offense himself at Miami). Marc Weiszer adds that Todd Hartley (who served in a support staff role at UGA and coached at Marshall prior to that) will coach a position and serve as special teams coordinator on Richt's staff.

Texas State: Per source, Dennis Franchione plans to retire later this week. Bruce Feldman with FoxSports has reported that Fran will step down as well.

Oklahoma Panhandle State (D-II): Former SMU linebackers coach Eric Daniels has agreed to become defensive coordinator, per source.

Jamestown (NAIA - ND): Per source, North Dakota State offensive quality control coach Josh Kittell will be the program's new head coach. Kittell was Jamestown's offensive coordinator in 2014 prior to joining the NDSU staff.

Scoop him up:Bryan Payton is currently a recruiting assistant at Northwestern with career aspirations of becoming a director of player personnel in the near future. Payton, who has a passion for recruiting, played running back at Indiana under Terry Hoeppner and Bill Lynch and has small college coaching and recruiting experience at Trine (D-III - IN), Franklin (D-III - IN) and Concord (D-II - WV).

Eastern Kentucky (FCS): Per source, a number of young guys from Tennessee's staff will follow Mark Elder to EKU. We hear Greg Meyer will coach running backs / special teams, Tommy Zagorski will likely coach tight ends and Chase Gibson is expected to coach linebackers. Also, former Tennessee staffer, now Florida A&M defensive line coach Walt Stewart is expected to coach the defensive line at EKU. See last night's post for info on Elder's OC and DC hires.

St. Norbert (D-III - WI): Per source, defensive coordinator Ryan Osborn resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Lenoir-Rhyne (D-II - NC): California University Pennsylvania (D-II) head coach Mike Kellar will be the new head coach at Lenoir-Rhyne. Kellar was 31-12 in four seasons with the program.

Minot State (D-II - ND): Wyoming offensive graduate assistant Shane LaDage has been named wide receivers coach at Minot State, per source. LaDage worked with the tight ends at Wyoming.

North Carolina A&T: Per source, defensive line coach Damon Frenchers will not return.

Iowa State: Markus Alleyne, the assistant athletic director for football operations, has not been retained, per source.

Arizona Christian (NAIA):Arizona Christian in Phoenix, AZ is looking for games in 2016 and 2017. 2016 - Need 2 home games, open dates are Sept. 3rd, Sept 24, and Oct 29th. In 2017 we are looking for home and away, open dates are Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23, Oct 29. Looking for NAIA games. Contact if interested.
