Birmingham Southern: Anthony McCall, former offensive graduate assistant at UAB, will be the new cornerbacks coach at Birmingham-Southern College, per source.

East Mississippi (CC): Former Florida State and West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett is joining the East Mississippi staff as quarterbacks coach. Fox Sports initially reported and we can confirm.

Rick Neuheisel: Former Washington and UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel is joining the CBS Sports studio team as a college football analyst. Neuheisel will serve as an analyst on the CBS Network's pre-game show, College Football Today show, as well as the Inside College Football roundtable show.

James Madison (FCS - VA): Per source, Zak Kuhr is adding the title of co-offensive coordinator - run game and John Streicher is being promoted to director of football operations & player personnel.

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State is looking for an offensive graduate assistant (wide receivers) in a spread/ no-huddle/ fast tempo offense. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8,000 and Full-Tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until filled. Hartwick College (D-III - NY): Hartwick College is accepting applications for the position of defensive coordinator. The position will include a secondary responsibility assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years coaching experience at the college level is required. Midwestern State (D-II - TX): Midwestern State University is currently seeking offensive & defensive graduate assistant coaches. The positions include a stipend, housing, and tuition assistance for graduate school. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, defensive backs, linebackers and wide receivers. Experience playing and coaching defensive backs, linebackers and wide receivers is preferred. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program including; but not limited to, video editing, practice organization, contest preparation, recruitment weekends, student athlete development, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Wide Receiver candidates must also have experience in photo editing, graphic design and highlight film production. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. South Florida: Associate AD for sport administration Dick Tomey will earn approximately $6,917 a month on a 10-month contract according to Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times.

University of La Verne (D-III - CA): Quarterbacks coach / recruiting coordinator Brent Baier has stepped down to take a role in the admissions office.

Samford (FCS - AL): First-year head coach Chris Hatcher has announced the majority of his coaching staff: associate head coach/defensive coordinator Bill D'Ottavio, offensive coordinator Travis Trickett, linebackers coach/director of recruiting Ross Newton, defensive backs coach Sam Shade, tight ends coach Trent McKnight, offensive line coach Shawn Bostick, defensive line coach Victor Cabral, wide receivers coach Russ Callaway, strength coach Ben Ashford. - Unrelated, but relevant, watch Mitch Stewart describe how he found out Hatch was taking the Samford job. Must watch video!

UTPB: Texas Permian Basin head coach Justin Carrigan is hiring Scott Preston as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks, per source. Preston, who coached the quarterbacks for Hal Mumme at Belhaven last season, is the former offensive coordinator at Arkansas Tech.

LSU: Former LSU cornerback Chevis Jackson will join the staff as an analyst according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Georgia Tech: Shorter University offensive line coach Blake DeBartalo has accepted a GA spot at Georgia Tech.

Portland State (FCS): Per source, former Boise State and Washington grad assistant Ben Thienes will take the linebackers job at Portland State.

Florida International: Former South Florida, Tampa Bay Bucs, LSU and South Carolina (among others) defensive backs coach Ron Cooper has been named the defensive backs coach at FIU.

Defensive coordinators "have to find a way to survive" in football today

Wisconsin: As expected, John Settle has now been announced as the new running backs coach. Settle coached the running backs under Paul Chryst at Pitt and coached at Wisconsin from 2006-2010 while Chryst was the Badgers offensive coordinator.

Point University (NAIA - GA): Per source, West Alabama (D-II) receivers coach / director of football ops Michael McCarty will be the new head coach.

Benedictine (D-III - IL): Per source,Lakeland College (D-III - WI) head coach Kevin Doherty has resigned to become the offensive coordinator / director of football operations at Benedictine. At Lakeland, Doherty was 36-18 in conference play and was a three-time conference coach of the year.

Texas State: Per source, Birmingham Southern (D-III - AL) offensive line coach Adam Hollifield is heading to Texas State as a defensive grad assistant.

Susquehanna (D-III - PA): Susquehanna University is looking to hire two assistant coaches (WRs and assistant LBs). Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. Salary will be $6,000. No housing or meals included. Idaho State: Rob Phenicie has been hired to coach the receivers. Phenicie coached the tight ends at UNLV most recently after originally joining the UNLV staff in 2010 as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach.

North Park (D-III - Chicago, IL): North Park University is accepting applications for an offensive skill and a defensive skill graduate assistants/interns. North Park is a small, urban, Christian liberal arts college located in Chicago, IL and plays in the CCIW (College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin). Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: coaching a position group, managing a recruiting area, video breakdown, and other duties assigned by the head coach and offensive coordinator/defensive coordinator. Los Angeles Valley College (JC - CA): Here's an update on the staff at LAVC; Juan Navarro (head coach / DC / DBs), Jason Vandiver (associate head coach / OC / QBs), Tanner Farwell (co-OC / OL), Reggie Stover (pass game coordinator / WRs), Cordell Landers (STC / RBs), John Fonua (director of strength and conditioning / DL), Claude Clayborne (run game coordinator / assistant strength and conditioning coach / LBs). David Mitchell (video coordinator) and Paul Holt (equipment manager) will serve in administrative roles.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (D-III - TX): The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is looking for an opponent for one home game during the 2016 season either September 17th or 24th. UMHB is also looking for two opponents for the 2017 season, both of which we desire to travel too (one being a reciprocation of the 2016 opponent). Alabama: Rob Ezell, a former walk-on for the Tide, has joined the program in a support role. Ezell spent the past two seasons as an offensive grad assistant at Colorado State under Jim McElwain, and was a volunteer assistant at Alabama prior to that.

Los Angeles Valley College (JC - CA): LAVC is looking to fill two open positions; coordinator of football operations and defensive assistant. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum 3 years Coaching/teaching/playing experience at High School, Junior College or University level. Preference will be given to candidates with secondary knowledge. Demonstrated ability in recruitment/retention of student-athletes at high school, Junior college or University level. These are stipend positions. No benefits or additional classes are included.
