Miami: According to Luther Campbell's Twitter feed, former Miami players will hold a conference call to "discuss the new coach." This should be good.

Jim Schwartz: The former Detroit Lions head coach told Don Banks of Sports Illustrated he wants to return to coaching in 2016.

Minority Report: Just under 20 minority coaches who have demonstrated their abilities as assistants, now ready for "that" phone call.

Detroit Lions: Chris Mortensen reports that the Lions will pay out the balance of fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi's three year contract, including $1.3 million in salary due in 2016.

Montana (FCS): Montana is looking for a 1 home game in 2016. Open dates are 9/17, 10/8 or possibly 10/1. We are open to paying a guarantee or starting a home and homes series with Montana returning in 2018. Allegheny (D-III - PA): Head coach Mark Matlak has announced his retirement, effective at the conclusion of the season. Matlak has led the program since 2002 and won 63 games, the second most in program history.

UCF: UCF has engaged the Parker search firm to assist them in finding their new athletic director. The President of UCF has said he plans to have a new AD selected by early December...and then have the new AD weigh in on the new head coach. Bruce Feldman of FoxSports adds that he expects Florida defensive coordinator Geoff Collins to get a close look at the head job.

Troy: Assistant director of player personnel Jamaal "Smooth" Smith, who formerly served as director of player development, has been reinstated.

Houston Texans: Texans GM Rick Smith vetoed Bill O'Brien's decision to cut quarterback Ryan Mallett, and numerous outlets have noted the increasingly strained relationship between the two parties during the team's 2-5 start to the season.

Davenport (NAIA - MI):Davenport University Football is a start-up program located in Grand Rapids, MI looking for games for the 2016 Season. The following open dates that we have are as follows: 9/17/16 (willing to travel), 9/24/16 (must be a home game), 10/8/16 (must be a home game), 10/22/16 (willing to travel), 11/12/16 (willing to travel). We are open to doing home and homes and travelling when possible. Would prefer to play either D2 or NAIA Teams.
