Stanford: We hear Stanford has finalized their list of candidates for their open defensive intern position. 

Rice: We hear Angelo State defensive line coach Michael Slater will be named defensive line coach at Rice. 

FAU: Sources tell us Miami (OH) defensive coordinator Pete Rekstis has spent a few days at FAU and is considering accepting the defensive coordinator job there.

UTEP: Mike Price has now officially announced the addition of former Yale head coach Tom Williams to coach the safeties

Texas San Antonio: Kevin Brown has been named quarterbacks coach / offensive coordinator. Brown coached the tight ends for UTSA last season. 

Stillman (D -II - AL): Receivers coach Willie Hill has taken the pass game coordinator job at Countryside HS (FL). Quarterbacks coach Terrell Stewart will move to receivers. 

Rhode Island: Defensive line coach Brian Vaganek has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

McPherson (NAIA - KS): We have learned that Grand View (NAIA - IA) offensive coordinator Pete Sterbick will become the next head coach at McPherson.

Georgetown: Vinny Marino has been hired as offensive coordinator. Marino most recently served as the offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Columbia. 

Middle Tennessee State: The Blue Raiders have announced the hiring of two other assistants along with co-defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix, and some shuffling of the staff. Matt Moore (spent the past five seasons at Texas Tech) has been brought on staff to serve as the run game coordinator / tackles coach and Glen Elarbee (West Georgia offensive line coach / run game coordinator and MTSU alum) will coach the centers and guards. Steve Ellis will continue to coach the corners and will serve as co-defensive coordinator, Brent Brock will move from inside receivers coach to running backs and Joe Cauthen will go from linebackers coach to defensive line.

South Florida: Skip Holtz has announced that NFL verteran Jerome Pathon has been hired to coach the receivers.

Auburn: Gene Chizik has adjusted some staff responsibilities. Tommy Thigpen will move from defensive backs to linebackers, and Willie Martinez will coach the defensive backs.

Northern Michigan (D-II): The University of the South-Sewanee defensive coordinator Brian Newberry has accepted the same position with Northern Michigan.

Mississippi College (D-III): Mississippi College is looking for a home game September 8, 2012 or a September 22, 2012 preferably Sept. 8th. Willing to help with travel expenses and possibly make it a home/home series for 2013. Anyone interested please contact Coach Norman Joseph phone: 601-925-3347.

Dordt College (NAIA - IA): We hear Sterling College special teams coordinator Gabe Eliserio has accepted the defensive coordinator position.

UAB: Garrick McGee has hired John Peterson to coach the offensive line. Peterson had spent the past eight seasons on staff at Ohio State as the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator. Quarterbacks coach Jeff Brohm has added the title of offensive coordinator and defensive line coach Jimmy Williams will serve as the assistant head coach. 

Albright (D-III - PA): Albright has hired Sal Ruffino to coach the defensive ends. Ruffino most recently served as the defensive line coach at Allentown Central Catholic HS (PA).

North Carolina Wesleyan (D-III): Defensive graduate assistant Quinderra Spellman has been promoted to offensive line coach.

Brevard College (D-II - NC): We hear that former Wofford and Presbyterian assistant coach Thomas Neel has been offered the defensive coordinator position at Brevard.

North Greenville (D-II - SC): North Greenville is looking for a game September 8, 2012 preferably a home game. Anyone interested please contact Coach Kenneth Ray via email or phone 864-373-5546. 

Appalachian State: Mark Ivey will join the staff to coach the outside linebackers and special teams. Ivey is the head coach at Barron Collier HS (FL) and is an Appalachian State alum.

Fordham: David Blackwell, former South Florida co-defensive coordinator, has accepted the defensive coordinator position.

North Greenville (D-II - SC): Recapping the North Greenville staff; Kenny Ray (offensive coordinator / offensive line), Brett Hickman (co-defensive coordinator / linebackers), Rocco Adrian (co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs), Brett Nichols (quarterbacks), LaDonte Harris (receivers), Isaac Mooring (defensive line).

Middle Tennessee State: We have confirmed that former Ole Miss defensive coordinator Tyrone Nix will be named defensive coordinator.

Temple: Sean McGowan (inside linebackers) will coordinate the special teams. On the offensive side of the ball, Ryan Day has been named co-offensive coordinator / receivers coach, Kevin Rogers will serve as the quarterbacks coach / associate head coach and Tyree Foreman (running backs) will also serve as the recruiting coordinator,

Drake (FCS): We have learned that Brad McCaslin will be named defensive coordinator. McCaslin is the former assistant head coach / defensive coordinator at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

North Greenville (D-II - SC): We have learned that North Carolina Wesleyan offensive line coach Issac Mooring has taken the defensive line job at North Greenville.

Houston: Tony Levine announced yesterday that he has added Ken McClintock to his staff as director of player personnel. McClintock comes to UH from Hawken High School in Gates Mills, OH.

Pitt: Bob Bostad leaving for Tampa has free'd up a significant additional pool of money for Paul Chryst to utilize. We hear his phone is ringing from quality guys wanting to talk about positions on the staff.

South Florida: According to the Tampa Bay Times, Skip Holtz has adjusted some responsibilities on the offensive side of the ball. Offensive coordinator Todd Fitch will now coach the quarterbacks, Larry Scott will now coach the running backs and Peter Vaas will now coach the tight ends. Same sources added that University of San Diego receivers coach Jerome Pathon has interviewed for the receivers job at South Florida.
