New Orleans Saints: Former Rams safeties coach Andre Curtis has been hired as assistant secondary coach for the Saints.
Mary Hardin-Baylor: Stephen F. Austin running backs coach Cody Fredenburg has been hired as a full-time offensive assistant at UMHB.
Western Illinois: Offensive coordinator Doug Ruse has resigned. We hear he's moving up. Will keep you posted.
Rutgers: Western Michigan defensive coordinator Dave Cohen will move to Rutgers as linebackers coach.
UT Martin (FCS): We have learned that Arkansas Tech (D-II) defensive coordinator Jeff Byrd has agreed to become defensive coordinator at UT Martin.
Oakland Raiders: We have confirmed that USC wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore (2011 FootballScoop Wide Receivers Coach of the Year) has agreed to become the receivers coach for the Raiders.
Arizona State: Multiple sources telling us tonight that New Mexico defensive coordinator Ron West will join the Arizona State staff as co-defensive coordinator. More to come...
Coastal Carolina: Head coach Joe Moglia has announced the addition of Doug Colman as linebackers coach. Colman spent the past two seasons at Tulane coaching the linebackers.
Western Illinois: Drake defensive coordinator Brian Ward has been named defensive coordinator of the Leathernecks.
Nevada: We have learned that Chris Ault has hired former Arkansas State offensive line coach Darren Hiller in the same capacity.
Arizona Cardinals: We hear former Texas A&M receivers coach Troy Walters interviewed recently with the Cardinals for their receivers job.
Iowa: The Hawkeyes have announced that defensive backs coach Phil Parker is the new defensive coordinator. Parker has coached the defensive backs the past 13 years. Additionally, Darrell Wilson will move from linebackers to secondary and Reese Morgan moves from offensive line to defensive line.
Nicholls State: We have learned that Charlie Stubbs has hired Matt Clark, offensive grad assistant at Louisiana Monroe, as tight ends coach and has promoted running backs coach Chuck Hepola to associate head coach. Defensive coordinator Jeremy Atwell has been promoted to assistant head coach. Wide receivers coach Justin Anderson has been promoted to passing game coordinator and Ed Dillon has been promoted to corners / video coordinator.
Colorado State: Jim McElwain has hired Jeff Hammerschmidt to coach the special teams, and Alvis Whitted to coach the receivers. Hammerschmidt spent last season at Arizona and Whitted comes to Fort Collins from Appalachian State where he was recently hired...last season he was at UCLA.
Auburn: The school has announced that corners coach Phillip Lolley will transition to an administrative role.
UNLV: A few weeks ago we told you to look for Bobby Hauck to shuffle his staff....well today he announced it. Tight ends coach Brent Myers will now also serve as offensive coordinator. Rob Phenicle who was OC / QBs will now just coach the quarterbacks. On the defensive side, secondary coach J.D. Williams will now also serve as defensive coordinator while former DC Kraig Paulson will now focus on coaching the outside linebackers (and will serve as assistant head coach).
McNeese State: We have learned that Central Arkansas safeties coach Chris Hampton has accepted the defensive backs job at McNeese.
Colorado State: We have learned that Marty English, former Wyoming defensive coordinator who was going to coach the linebackers this season, has been hired to coach the defensive line at Colorado State.
St. Louis Rams: FoxSports is also reporting that Rutgers offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti will be named quarterbacks coach of the Rams.
Tampa Bay: FoxSports is reporting that Schiano is considering former Colts quarterbacks coach Ron Turner and current UVA offensive coordinator Bill Lazor for his offensive coordinator job.
Buffalo Bills: Former Colts offensive line coach Pete Metzelaars has been named tight ends coach for the Bills.
Nevada: We hear Chris Ault has former Idaho State head coach and Colorado State special teams / running backs Larry Lewis in to interview today for his running backs / special teams job.
Black Hills State (D-II - SD): We have learned that Black Hills plans to promote offensive coordinator John Reiners to head coach.
Northwestern Oklahoma State University: is looking for a Defensive Line Coach (GA). The position pays $10,000 on a 10 month contract. There is a possibility of room and board and they will receive a graduate school tuition waiver after the 1st year. Position will have own recruiting area. Coaching and/or playing experience at the defensive line is a requirement as well as acceptance into graduate school. Chicago Bears: The Bears have hired Jeremy Bates as quarterbacks coach. Bates was Jay Cutler's quarterbacks coach in Denver and last served as offensive coordinator of the Seahawks in 2010.
Rutgers: Plenty of reports out of the northeast that Boston College tight ends coach Dave Brock will wind up as Rutgers offensive coordinator. We'll keep you posted. As we've been telling you for a week, we expect a number of Rutgers assistants to join Schiano in Tampa. We were told last week to look for an announcement of that today or tomorrow.
Houston Texans: Former Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach and UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell will become quarterbacks coach for the Texans.
Tennessee: Director of player personnel Steve Rubio is no longer with the program.
Misericordia (D-III - NY): Ithaca offensive line coach Mike Hatcher has been named offensive coordinator at Misericordia.
Wabash College (D-III - IN): Wabash is seeking to fill an Intern slot. The intern football coach is responsible for coaching his own position group, recruiting on and off campus, and assisting the head coach with all phases of a successful football program. The intern will also be responsible for supporting the mission of Wabash College as well as adherence to institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and procedures; Bachelor’s Degree required. The position is a 10-month contract with a stipend, housing, and meal plan. Tampa Bay: Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network is reporting that the Packers denied the Bucs' request to interview tight ends coach Ben McAdoo for their offensive coordinator position.
Oklahoma State: The Cowboys have paid out their bonuses for the year. Mike Gundy received $153,115 in bonus money. Assistant coaches Todd Monken, Bill Young, Joe Wickline, and Joe DeForest made $66,667 for the BCS appearance, $10,000 for the Big 12 title, and $5,000 for finishing in the top 10 (total of $81,666 in bonus money). The rest of the bonus money was as follows; linebackers coach Glenn Spence ($67,5000), strength coach Rob Glass ($63,533), inside receivers coach Doug Meachem ($60,833), corners coach Jason Jones ($50,000), outside receivers coach Kasey Dunn ($45,833), running backs coach Jemal Singleton ($45,833).
Indianapolis Colts: We have learned that University of Maine offensive line coach Frank Giufre will join the staff as offensive quality control. We hear that Maine has already identified Giufre's replacement.
