The powers that be have now officially ruled that there will be a four team playoff for the 2014 season. Championship game to be at a neutral site, semis to be played on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at bowl games (6 bowl rotation). Four seeded teams to be determined by a selection committee...still to be formed...

Mesa CC (AZ): Sources tell us that offensive coordinator Ryan Felker will be named head coach at Mesa. 

Oklahoma: We saw a note from the Tulsa World that Mike Stoops will make $600,000 this season. Yes, this was also reported back in January; but hey...

Richmond (FCS): Richmond has two positions (academic and video) on the DFO Scoop. 

SEC: The SEC has announced "SEC BeachFest" set for this August...you will want to see this.

Morrisville State College (D-III - NY): Morrisville State is seeking applicants for assistant defensive backs coach. Responsibilities will include coaching the position, practice and game planning, off campus recruiting and player development all in accordance with NCAA rules. Bachelor’s Degree and previous collegiate coaching and playing experience required; a familiarity with DVSport Software preferred. This 10 month position includes a stipend of $5,000 per year, room and board and the potential for graduate work. Candidates applying for the position should send resume and cover letter to Head Coach Terry Dow at dowtm@morrisville.edu

West Alabama (D-II): West Alabama has an opening at defensive line. 

Rhode Island (FCS): Sources tell us that former University of Delaware special teams coordinator / tight ends coach David Boler has been hired to coach the receivers at Rhode Island. 

Mesa CC (AZ): Greg Croshaw, who served as head coach this past season at Mesa, has been named head coach at Cottonwood High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Northwestern Oklahoma State: NWOSU is looking for a Wide Receiver Coach (GA). Positions will pay $10,000 on a 10 month contract. Graduate tuition will be paid for Oklahoma residents. Duties include: coach position, recruiting area as assigned, and all other duties as assigned by Head Coach. Knowledge of HUDL video system preferred as well as playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level. There is NO room and board as part of the agreement. Earlham College (D-III - IN): Earlham College is seeking a part-time wide receiver coach. Coaching experience, availability for pre-season camp in August and time commitment during the season will be considered in the screening process. The position pays $1,000-$1,500 for the season.
