Urban Meyer: One NFL organization has reached out to Urban Meyer according to ESPN, but Meyer has publicly stated that he's not going anywhere and is happy in Columbus.

Nevada: The team and offensive line coach Ron Hudson have agreed to mutually part ways, the Wolf Pack have also now announced the departure of Jim Hofher (see below).

Miami: Miami has announced the hirings of co-offensive coordinator/running backs coach Thomas Brown, defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski, special teams coordinator Todd Hartley and offensive assistant Jon Richt.

Iowa State: Salary information for a handful of Matt Campbell's assistants are as follows; OC / OL coach Tom Manning ($250k), DBs coach DK McDonald ($175k), WRs coach Bryan Gassser ($150k), TEs coach / recruiting coordinator Alex Golesh ($210k), LBs coach Tyson Veidt ($190k), director of scouting John Kuceyeski ($80k), and DFO Greg Brabenac ($80k).

Auburn: Gus Malzahn has confirmed the hire of Kevin Steele as defensive coordinator, pulling him away from the same post at LSU.

Buffalo Bills: The organization has announced that GM Doug Whaley and head coach Rex Ryan will be back next season.

Marietta College (D-III - OH): Marietta College is seeking applications for a full-time defensive coaching position (DL or LB). Playing or coaching experience in the front 7 on the collegiate level is required. Minimum 3-years collegiate coaching experience is preferred. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with ties to the Midwest. Responsibilities will include: on field coaching, practice and game preparation, on road recruiting, academic support, and other duties as assigned by Head Football coach and Athletic Director. Purdue: Per Tom VanHaaren of ESPN, Randy Melvin is joining the staff as defensive line coach. Melvin coached the defensive line at Miami last season, and he's been in West Lafayette before, when he coached the defensive ends for Joe Tiller at Purdue from 1997-1999. There has been considerable chatter that Mark D'Onofrio might wind up as the defensive coordinator at Purdue as well; but no confirmation on that just yet.

Monterey Peninsula College (JC - CA): Monterey Peninsula College has a defensive coaching position open. Position area is flexible. Starts February 1, 2016. Duties include coaching, strength and conditioning, video production, and recruiting. Minimum requirements include a Bachelors degree, and at least two years of college or professional coaching. Iowa State: Per sources, Nevada assistant head coach / receivers Jim Hofher is set to join Iowa State's staff coaching the quarterbacks. Hofher served as interim offensive coordinator for Nevada's bowl win after Rolo accepted the head coaching position at Hawaii.

Scoop Him Up:Former Montana State OL coach/run game coordinator Jason Eck was part of an explosive offense in 2015 that was #1 in FCS football in yards per play, Redzone TD %, & offensive TDs per game. He also helped trim the teams sacks from 26 in 2014 to 13 this fall. This followed a 2 year stint at Minnesota State, Mankato where Eck was the OC/OL coach and aided the team to a 14-1 record and a trip to the D2 National Championship in his 1st year as a play caller in 2014. In 2013, they were 11-1 and were #1 in D2 football in yards per play (7.71). Eck is a 17 year coaching veteran with stints as the offensive line coach at Idaho, Ball State, Western Illinois, Hampton, & Winona St. He was a GA at his alma mater Wisconsin and Colorado. Eck has worked under Barry Alvarez, Gary Barnett, and Dennis Erickson.

Auburn: Chris Low of ESPN is reporting that "barring a late snag" LSU defensive coordinator Kevin Steele is heading to Auburn to be Gus Malzahn's defensive coordinator. Sources tell FootballScoop that Auburn's offer is real; but that LSU is trying to retain him this morning. We also hear that Steele could wind up vesting in the state of Alabama's pension Will update...

Georgia Southern: Tight ends / recruiting coordinator Chad Lunsford will be part of Tyson Summers' staff at Georgia Southern.
