Let us know what you hear. Since 1999, all sources remain confidential. or call / text 225.229.3429

Arizona State: Washington offensive line coach, and former ASU offensive coordinator, Dan Cozzetto has the backing of a number of ASU's higher profile former players. Not sure that the administration is interested; but there is a push going on for him.

Penn State: A name we hear has a lot of support is New York Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine Jr.

Memphis: Multiple reports out of Memphis are that Justin Fuente will be named the new head coach.

Memphis: We are told that in addition to Jim McElwain (Alabama - OC), the search committee is also highly impressed with Justin Fuente co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at TCU.

Southeastern LA: We hear Chris Truax of Stephen F. Austin has an offer. We'll keep you posted.

Arizona State: It's been a crazy day there. We are told, and Joe Schad just reported as well, that Jones had agreed to become the next head coach...and then was informed that the offer had been pulled. We'll keep you updated. Can't imagine this is being well received at SMU.

Old Dominion: Big changes at ODU. Defensive coordinator Andy Rondeau and assistant defensive coordinator Jarod Dodson have both left the program. Keita Malloy is moving over to assistant defensive coordinator / secondary (had been coaching the receivers) and Bill Dee (who was helping with the offensive line) we are told will serve as "acting defensive coordinator". Zohn Burden, who was with Richmond, is returning to coach the receivers. Corey Hetherman who was coaching the rovers will now coach the linebackers.

Arkansas: We have confirmed that Ohio State's co-defensive coordinator / safeties coach Paul Haynes has interviewed with Petrino for the defensive coordinator spot as well. Per sources close to the program Haynes was well received as well. Huge interest in being a defensive coordinator in the SEC West.

North Alabama: In an interesting move, Terry Bowden has entered into a new agreement that only runs through December 31, 2012.

Troy Calhoun: We are told Calhoun will not move this year.

Boston College: Sources tell us UVA running backs coach Mike Faragalli was offered the offensive coordinator job at BC. We hear turned it down and Spaz is working on locking someone else in.

Auburn: Sources tell us Ted Roof is out. Word is he's moving to Central Florida. We're confirming.

Arkansas: We hear Petrino has a number of options at special teams coordinator. He could move director of high school relations Kevin Peoples to the position; but there has also been considerable outside interest in the position. We also hear that the defensive coordinator job is Illinois interim head coach, Vic Koenning's if he doesn't accept a head coaching offer. Sources tell us Randy Shannon's interview for the spot went very well as well.

Arizona State: We have learned that Arizona State has extended an offer to June Jones. Awaiting confirmation; but expect this to happen.

North Carolina: Fedora announcement shortly.

Southern Miss: Names that we hear Southern Miss AD Richard Giannini will speak with include Frank Wilson (LSU) and Ellis Johnson (South Carolina) amongst others.

Fresno State: Fresno has engaged the firm of Eastman & Beaudine to assist with the search.

Western Kentucky: Willie Taggart has agreed to a new 4 year deal. Taggart's base pay has been raised to $475,000 and he will receive an additional $10,000 for National coach of the year, or conference coach of the year recognition, a $5,000 incentive for each semester the team GPA is above 3.0, and an additional $10,000 if they sell 10,000 season tickets.

Penn State: It's been a while since these guys have done one of these "searches". Somebody please let them know that someone on their search committee is supposed to call or text us regularly with updates. That's how it works these days guys.

Defensive Coordinator of the Year: Not a bad day yesterday for Chief. He picks up a Broyles and a FootballScoop Defensive Coordinator of the Year.
