TCU: Long time defensive coordinator Dick Bumpas is retiring, sources tell FootballScoop. We expect Gary Patterson to fill the position from within the staff. Our story.

San Jose State: Head coach Ron Caragher has confirmed that Jimmie Dougherty is now SJSU's wide receivers coach. FootballScoop broke the news of Al Borges joining the staff as offensive coordinator weeks ago. Additionally, offensive line coach Keith Carter is leaving to take a position with the Atlanta Falcons according to Jimmy Durkin of the San Jose Mercury News.

The consensus top 25 classes signed today, plus the top five classes from each conference.

Central Michigan: Defensive coordinator Joe Tumpkin has resigned.

UCLA: Jim Mora acknowledged that Jeff Ulbrich has been offered the linebackers position with the Falcons but says he hasn't accepted it yet and Mora will "fight like crazy" to keep him.

Oklahoma: Washington State outside receivers coach Dennis Simmons has accepted the receivers position at Oklahoma. Many, many moons ago (if memory serves me correctly it was 2009 or 2008), Simmons and new OU OC Lincoln Riley were finalists for the FootballScoop receivers coach of the year. Should work well together here.

Wisconsin: Former USC and Oakland Raiders wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore has accepted the same position at Wisconsin according to Sports Illustrated.

Tulane: Secondary coach Jason Rollins is adding the title of co-defensive coordinator.

South Carolina: As has been rumored for weeks, Jon Hoke is expected to join the staff tomorrow report Chris Clark of Rivals and Chris Low of ESPN. One assistant is expected to move off the field to make room for the hire. Once more is clear we will update.

Atlanta Falcons: Alex Marvex of Fox Sports is reporting that UCLA defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich and Notre Dame quarterbacks coach Matt LaFleur are joining Dan Quinn's staff in Atlanta. Marvez reports that Brich will be the linebackers coach for the Falcons and LaFleur will coach the quarterbacks. Marvez adds that Syracuse's DFO Steve Scarnecchia will also join the staff as assistant to the head coach.

Kentucky: As we told you a few weeks back, Andy Buh has now officially been named outside linebackers coach at Kentucky. Derrick Ansley will coach the entire secondary and the staff will work together to cover special teams.

Hawaii: Per source, safeties / special teams coordinator Chris Demarest will not return.

Texas Tech: Special teams coordinator Darin Chiaverini has added the title of outside receivers coach per source.

Atlanta Falcons: Per a report from ESPN, Seattle Seahawks defensive assistant Marquand Manuel will accept an offer to become the new secondary coach and defensive consultant with the Falcons.

Capital (D-III - OH): Capital is looking to fill their defensive intern / grad assistant spot. The position will start off as an intern position in the Spring (small stipend), that can possibly turn into a grad assistant spot. We are looking for someone who has experience coaching linebackers. 1 year of HS or college coaching experience as a position coach is preferred. Interested candidates can contact football@capital.edu.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (D-III - TX):The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is looking for games for the 2016 and 2017 season for September 17thand September 24th game slots. Prefer home games in 2016 Season. Will travel in 2017 Season. Prefer Division III opponent. Interested programs can contact Head Coach Pete Fredenburg at pfredenburg@umhb.edu.

Richmond: Head coach Danny Rocco has announced the addition of Clint Sintim as the program's assistant linebackers and defensive line coach. The hire completes Rocco's staff.

Texas Tech: Emmett Jones' title at Texas Tech will be director of player development. Jones joined the staff a few weeks ago after serving as the head coach at South Oak Cliff HS (TX).

Brady Hoke: This morning a rumor was floated by another website that Brady Hoke would join Notre Dame's staff. We reached out to leadership at Notre Dame who tell FootballScoop that is 100% inaccurate. "Brady Hoke will not be joining our staff at Notre Dame." Sources tell us Hoke intends to take the year off from coaching. Update> Brady Hoke just went on TV and said exactly what we said above. He is not going to Notre Dame and he plans to head south and take a year and see what others are doing.

Green Bay Packers: According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, assistant special teams coach Ron Zook is expected to be promoted to special teams coordinator. Zook would take over for Shawn Slocum, who was recently let go after six seasons.

North Carolina: Per source, Dustin Landry has joined the staff at UNC as a defensive quality control coach. Landry has worked with new UNC defensive coordinator Gene Chizik at both Iowa State and Auburn.

VMI:Per source, Tim Maypray will be the new running backs coach at VMI. Maypray played his college ball at VMI and spent the 2014 season playing professionally in Canada with the Ottawa Redblacks.

Allegheny (D-III - PA): Allegheny is no longer accepting applicants for their offensive coordinator and offensive line positions. Thanks for the overwhelming interest in the positions.
