All of us at FootballScoop wish you and yours a happy new year!

FAU: Arkansas special teams quality control Chris Hurd will join Charlie Partridge's staff at FAU (position to be determined). Andrew Ivins first reported the move.

Michigan State: Mark Dantonio is not leaving the Spartans. Athletic director Mark Hollis confirmed today that Dantonio's new salary will be in the $4 million range.

North Carolina Central: Sources tell us Savannah State receivers coach Chris Buckner will join the NCCU staff as receivers / recruiting coordinator. We also hear that Austin Peay defensive coordinator Granville Eastman will join the staff as well.

Army: Sources tell us Georgia Southern offensive coordinator Brent Davis will join Jeff Monken at Army in the same capacity.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Lovie Smith will be the next head coach of the Bucs, according to multiple outlets. Sources tell us Jeff Tedford will be his offensive coordinator.

Eastern Michigan: Sources tell us Southern Illinois offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer will be the new offensive coordinator at EMU.

Penn State: Defensive line coach Larry Johnson Sr. will serve as interim head coach according to multiple reports.

Washington Redskins: Baltimore offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell will interview with the Redskins, according to Adam Schefter. As we've state before, Washington also plans to interview Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and Carolina defensive coordinator Sean McDermott.

Houston Texans: Penn State receivers coach Stan Hixon will follow Bill O'Brian to Houston, according to a report from PennLive.

Central Arkansas: Sources tell us that Steve Campbell has convinced special teams coordinator / defensive line coach Dan Augustine to remain at UCA in the same capacity.

James Madison: Sources tell us Ohio State recruiting assistant John Bowers will join Everett Withers' staff at JMU.

Cleveland Browns: Gus Malzahn and James Franklin are on the Browns list of potential candidates per Jason LaCanfora. LaCanfora further notes that the Browns are expected to hire Jim Schwartz as their defensive coordinator regardless of who is hired as head coach.

Wake Forest: Derrick Jackson has been retained. Jackson coached the defensive backs last season and has also coached linebackers and defensive line over the past ten years.

Westminster (D-III - PA): Sources tell us Westminster has a loaded group of finalists for their head coaching opening. We hear Dan Knause (OLBs at Carnegie Mellon), Scott Benzel (DC at St Francis), Jason Makrinos (DBs/RC @ Slippery Rock U), Jay Foster (HC at Clarion), Jon Latina (Assistant HC/OL at Duke) and Mike Pinchotti (DC at Geneva College) are all considered finalists. Very impressive list.

Morgan State (FCS - MD): Maryland wide receivers coach Lee Hull is a finalist for the vacant Morgan State head coaching job according to Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun.
