Former Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, and Wake Forest assistant coach Ted Guthard passed away over the weekend. Please keep his family in your thoughts.

Georgia Tech: Former linebacker Steven Sylvester has joined the staff as an offensive grad assistant and will work with the B-backs.

Austin Peay (FCS - TN): Austin Peay has an open grad assistant position on staff. The position will likely be working with defensive backs. Applicants must have a 2.5 undergrad GPA and a 140 on the GRE. Position will start August 1. Interested candidates can contact head coach Kirby Cannon at

Lindsey Wilson (NAIA - KY): Lindsey Wilson is accepting applications for a Defensive Assistant Football Coach (Restricted Earnings). Responsibilities include on field coaching, recruiting, video editing, assisting with the strength and conditioning program, and other duties within the football program. Position group is TBD, but likely in the front 7. Compensation includes housing, meals, and a small stipend. Northern Colorado: After eight years with the University, athletic director Jay Hinrichs has resigned. President Kay Norton will act as the interim athletic director until a replacement is hired.

Illinois State: Athletic director Larry Lyons will reportedly earn a yearly salary of $200,000.

Earlham College (D-III - IN): Earlham College in Richmond, IN, is seeking an intern coach, defensive experience is preferred. This is a seasonal position with $2,000 stipend. Would be involved in all aspects of the program including recruiting, game planning and video breakdown. No benefits, no housing. Local Applicants are strongly encouraged. Wisconsin - La Crosse (D-III): Former offensive lineman Andrew McGlenn will return to the program as offensive line coach. 

Minnesota Vikings: Former Vikings defensive end Kenechi Udeze has returned to the team this summer as a minority coaching fellow. 

Kennesaw State (FCS - GA): Head coach Brian Bohannon has hired Northern Michigan defensive coordinator Brian Newberry to the same position according to Doug Roberson of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

East Tennessee State: ETSU has removed the "interim" tag from athletic director Richard Sander, and signed him to a one year contract extension.

Rice: Graduate assistant Adrian Mayes is working with the New York Jets through the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship program.
