Lakeland (D-III - WI): Defensive coordinator Colin Bruton, a finalist for our 2014 FootballScoop Division III Coordinator of the Year Award, has been promoted to head coach. Yesterday, Lakeland announced that head coach Kevin Doherty was leaving for the offensive coordinator / director of football operations job at Benedictine (D-III - IL).

Purdue: Per source, Ave Maria University (NAIA - FL) special teams coordinator / linebackers coach Zach Opsal has joined the Purdue staff as a grad assistant

Minnesota-Crookston (D-II): Tyler Summers has been announced as wide receivers coach.

Central College (D-III - IA): Ryan Maiuri has been named offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Detroit Lions: Steven Williams has been announced as a defensive quality control assistant.

Texas College (NAIA): Per source, head coach Rodney Blackshear has resigned to take the head coaching job at Trinity Christian HS (Lubbock, TX).

Portland State: Per source, College of the Redwoods (JC - CA) receivers coach Vernon Smith has accepted the corners job.

Maine Maritime (D-III): MMA Currently has intern positions available. The successful candidates will be college graduates and possess previous college playing and/or coaching experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in practice and game planning, video breakdown and analysis with DVSport and Hudl, recruiting, academic oversight, and positional skill work. Columbia: Per source, Chiefs assistant and former Penn offensive lineman Joe D'Orazio will be joining the staff as tight ends coach and former Penn offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Jon McLaughlin is joining the staff as offensive line coach.

Bethel College (NAIA -KS): Per source, Bethel College head coach Martin Mathis has stepped down to pursue other opportunities.

Ole Miss: As we reported a month or so ago, Sean Patterson is now officially part of the staff at Ole Miss. The Clarion-Ledger reports his title is associate director for recruiting operations.

Louisville: Iowa State grad assistant Pete Brown is joining the Louisville staff in a quality control role, per source.

Fordham (FCS – NY):Fordham is looking to fill a number of open dates; 2016 one FCS game (9/10/16 or 9/17/16) 2017 two FCS games (9/2/17 and 9/16/17 or 9/23/17) 2018 one FBS and one FCS game (9/1/18 and 9/15/18 or 10/20/18) 2019 one FBS and two FCS games (8/31/19, 9/14/19, or 9/21/19). Columbia: Per source, Paul Ferraro will be the new defensive coordinator at Columbia. Ferraro most recently served as the defensive coordinator at UCF and Maine.

Monterey Peninsula College (JC - CA): Monterey Peninsula College has a defensive coaching opening. Position area is flexible. Minimum requirements are a Bachelors, 2 years of college defensive coaching experience, and college playing experience. Hiram College (D-III - OH): Hiram has an opening for a part-time outside linebackers coach. This position that will assist the head coach in all facets of the sports program including, but not limited to, coaching the outside linebackers in a 3-4 defensive scheme, the development and implementation of individual fundamental skills, recruiting and retaining quality young men and athletes. Requirements: Bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Prior playing or coaching experience at the college/university or professional level is preferred. Flexibility is required for scheduled practices and competition during the season.
