Marian (NAIA - IN): Defensive line coachBrock Caraboa, a 27-year old assistant who has been with the program since the first official practice in school history, has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

Illinois: Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino has issued a statement confirming that Garrick McGee is joining the Illinois staff. Petrino notes McGee's close relationship with Lovie Smith as one of the major reasons for the move.

Delaware Valley (D-III - PA): Delaware Valley University seeks an assistant football coach to coach any offensive skill position. This is a full time nine month position. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. Salary will be $6,000. No housing or meals included. Interested candidates should email their resume tocharles.greco@delval.edu. Scoop him up:Drew Dunn has spent the last five seasons in a variety of student-assistant type roles with the Ole Miss program. Last season in Oxford, Dunn worked as a volunteer assistant with the defensive staff assisting with charting plays, scouting offensive tendencies and weekly opponent breakdowns using XOs, and assistant corners coach Jason Jones in position meetings and practice and spent game days in the box. Prior to that apppointment, Dunn worked as a student equipment manager and volunteer coaching assistant working with the linebackers and special teams. Dunn developed relationships with Dave Wommack, Tom Allen, Jason Jones, Tim Bennett, Ronnie Heard and Tray Scott and is looking for a graduate assistant spot in an effort to continue his career in college football. Murray State (FCS - KY): Former Eastern Kentucky assistant Jake Johnson has been named linebackers coach and special teams coordinator. Johnson spent the past 12 seasons at EKU, working his way up from graduate assistant, to defensive line coach - a post he held for 11 seasons.

Limestone College (D-II - SC): Limestone College invites applications for the position of head football coach. This position will be full time with a 12 month contract. A Masters degree is preferred/a Bachelor degree is required. Candidates must have previous successful experience with coaching football at the NCAA level. Skills preferred for success in this position; Strong written and verbal communication, ability to work across academic and administrative departments in a cooperative manner, strong team building/management skills, demonstrated experience in program development, ability to interact with members of the community and media. The selected candidate must be willing to consent to, and pass with satisfactory results, an investigative consumer report. Ohio State: Defensive coordinatorGreg Schiano is set to earn $600,000 annually, per a report from the Toledo Blade. The contract is set to expire January 15th, 2017.

Lincoln University (D-II - MO): Lincoln University is looking to fill two positions on the coaching staff (offensive line and defensive assistant). Offensive line coach should have offensive coordinator experience. This position will aso be considered for the offensive coordinator position. The offensive line coach would be responsible to coach the field goal unit as well. The defensive assistant position will consist of coaching the outside linebackers with defensive coordinator experience. The position will also be considered for the defensive coordinator post. In addition to coaching the outside linebackers, this coach will be responsible for the punt team as well. Applications will be accepted from March 9th through March 16th. Tampa Bay: Contrary to a report elsewhere, sources tell FootballScoop running backs coach Tim Spencer is not leaving the Bucs.

Hope (D-III - MI): Ben Kain, who coached the running backs last season, has been hired as the head coach at Hartford HS (MI).

Illlinois: Per Pete Thamel, Hardy Nickerson is expected to be named defensive coordinator.

Lake Erie College (D-II - OH): Lake Erie College has an immediate opening for an offensive graduate assistant. Candidates with skill position backgrounds will be given first priority. Requirements are: 2.75 GPA in your undergrad and acceptance to one of our Masters programs. The qualified candidate will coach his own position and have a recruiting territory as well as other duties assigned by the head coach. Virginia Tech: Corners coach Brian Mitchell will make $260k in 2016 and has a letter of appointment that runs through June 30, 2017, per Andy Bitter. Mitchell made $275k at West Virginia last season.

Bucknell: Steven King, a graduate assistant at Nevada with prior experience coaching the running backs at Wagner College, has joined the Bucknell staff as wide receivers coach, per source.

Illinois: Louisville offensive coordinator Garrick McGee will be Lovie Smith's offensive coordinator, per Adam Rittenberg. We can confirm the hire. In addition, sources tell FootballScoop that Andrew Hayes-Stoker will coach the wide receivers. Hayes-Stoker worked with Lovie in both Chicago and Tampa Bay.

Murray State: Murray State is looking for three 2016 quality control interns (offense, defense, special teams). All three positions are unpaid. Interested candidates can email jjohnson125@murraystate.edu.

Louisiana Tech: Delta State (D-II- MS) defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Lanier Goethie has been hired to coach the linebackers, per BleedTechBlue. Prior to joining the Delta State staff, Goethie was a graduate assistant at Ole Miss, where he also played his college ball. With the addition, defensive coordinator Blake Baker will move to the safeties, per the report.

New Castle Miners (Australia): The New Castle Miners of the National Gridiron League are accepting applications for all assistant coaching positions. Collegiate coaching experience is required. Compensation package will include the following: Salary ($2,500US/month), shared housing, insurance, retirement contribution, travel to/from Australia, and use of 2 shared autos with other assistant coaches. The initial contract will be from July 31, 2016-January 29, 2017, with a team option for year two. ESPN: Mike Ditka is being replaced on ESPN Countdown by veteran NFL quarterback Matt Hasselbeck according to Jason McIntyre. Hasselbeck started eight games last season for the Indianapolis Colts. McIntyre notes that Dtika will transition to an "unspecified emeritus-type" role with the worldwide leader.Last month, Charles Woodson joined the ESPN staff.
