Tulane: Sources close to the situation tell us Tulane had their man; but it fell apart over timing issues related to the coach's current season.

Thiel College (DIII - PA): Thiel College invites applications for an Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Coordinator). This full-time (10 month) position will report to the Head Football Coach and the Athletic Director and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the college’s intercollegiate football program. Responsibilities: Implement and coordinate defensive schemes, oversee and mentor assistant coaches, evaluate personnel, as well as assist the Head Football Coach in all aspects of game and practice preparations, mentor and monitor the student-athletes academic progress, follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, and Thiel College. In addition, the selected individual will be held accountable to recruit and retain quality student-athletes for the college and the football program and perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Head Football Coach. Education and / or Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Previous experience in collegiate football as a coach required and experience as a defensive coordinator preferred. Human Relations Skills: Ability to function effectively as a team player. Positive attitude towards the college and our athletic program is essential.
