Jacksonville State: Athletic director Warren "Moose" Koegel has announced he will retire at the end of the year. Koegel, who was an assistant football coach at Rutgers and UConn in the 90s, has served as AD at Jacksonville State since June 2011.

Texas: The University of Texas plans to begin to pay each of their athletes approximately $10,000 per year to cover "cost of attendance" and "use of likeness" according to athletic director Steve Patterson.

Northwestern Oklahoma State (D-II): Head coach Alan Hall has stepped down due to health concerns. Offensive coordinator Kevin Turco will continue to serve as interim head coach until a permanent head coach is selected.
