Our thoughts go out to the family of New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, who lost his brother John on Monday. Please keep the Coughlin family in your prayers during this tough time.

Additionally, our thoughts are with the family of Seattle Seahawks linebackers coach Ken Norton, Jr., who lost his father Ken Norton, Sr., today.

Kent State: Director of athletics Joel Nielsen has received a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the school through June 2017.

Arizona State: Todd Graham will receive a contract extension through June 30, 2018 pending board approval, according to the Arizona Republic. Graham's salary will jump from $2.05 million to $2.3 million immediately and jump $100,000 a year through 2016, and then $50,000 per year through 2018. Bonuses include a 50 percent bump for a national championship, a 25 percent bump for a New Year's Six bowl victory, a 20 percent increase for a Pac-12 title, and $25,000 for any non-major bowl win. Should Graham leave early, he will owe a buyout up to $1.5 million. Athletics director Steve Patterson has also earned an extension through 2018, according to the Associated Press
