Franklin College: We have learned that tight ends coach Patrick Doherty is shifting to running backs and assistant offensive line coach Ryan McDonald will take over the tight ends.

Hartford Colonials: Our sources tell us that Albright College wide receivers coach Jesse Thompson will join the staff as tight ends / assistant special teams coach.

Western Connecticut State University: an NCAA Division III member, competing in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, invites applications for a part-time football coaching position. The review of applications will begin immediately and the positions will be filled as soon as possible. This position will begin on August 1, 2011 and continue until the end of the fall semester. Contracts are renewable for the spring semester. Duties will include recruiting, coaching the defensive line, opponent scouting & video breakdown (LRS Sports), practice preparation, and other auxiliary duties as assigned. Compensation for this position will include a stipend and will be commensurate with experience. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. Previous coaching experience, preferably at the intercollegiate level, is desirable. Highly developed communication, organizational, managerial, and motivational skills are desired. Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Playmaker software as well as Internet knowledge as it relates to scouting and recruiting. Stonehill College (Easton, MA): Accepting applications for one defensive (DB) and one offensive (RB/WR) football intern. The internship program is designed to provide coaches with a rich blend of coaching and administrative experience at a competitive NCAA Division II private college. These seasonal intern positions run from Aug. 1st 2011 to Jan. 31st 2012. Compensation includes a stipend of $6,000 and a campus meal plan. No housing is provided. No Education/Medical Benefits provided. The positions include the following job duties: coaching their own position, practice planning, scouting, video analysis, skill and team instruction, all phases of recruiting and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Jacksonville State: We are hearing that Midwestern State defensive backs coach Brandon Cooper has accepted the corners job at Jacksonville State.

Claremont McKenna College: Defensive Line Coach. Assist the Head Football Coach in the successful management of a Division III athletic program, including all aspects of the football program’s functions, operations, and execution as assigned. Manage all aspects of the Defensive Line including, meetings, practice and games. Organizational abilities, communication skills, technical abilities, initiatives, enthusiasm and loyalty are valued attributes. Bachelor’s degree required.
