We anticipate that there will be some additional dollars and security involved for the head coach; but we hear they have committed to significant enhancements for the assistants.

Pitt: We have just received confirmation. Paul Chryst new head coach at Pitt. Should be announced tomorrow we're told.

Pitt: Smoke signals out of Pitt indicating Paul Chryst will get the job. We have not confirmed. Stay tuned.

Charlotte (FCS): Apparently the guys in Charlotte found our number...We have learned that Wake Forest offensive grad assistant Joe Tereshinski will join the staff (we hear as receivers coach) and Navy outside linebackers coach Napoleon Sykes will join as linebackers coach. Brad Lambert is putting together a nice staff. They begin play in 2013.

Charlotte (FCS): Sources in Charlotte have confirmed that Marshall tight ends coach Phil Ratliff will be the new offensive line coach at Charlotte. Ratliff was a two time all-american offensive lineman at Marshall and we believe he's in Marshall's hall of fame. Good hire.

Houston: We have confirmed Tony Levine is the new head coach.

Houston: Multiple sources tell us Tony Levine will be named head coach tomorrow.

Retained from Richmond are Wayne Lineburg (associate head coach / recruiting coordinator / running backs), Bob Trott (defensive coordinator / safeties), Byron Thweatt (linebackers), Bill Polin (tight ends) and Dave Legg (special teams / corners). Coming from Liberty are Brandon Streeter (offensive coordinator / quarterbacks), Blaine McCorkle (offensive line), Levern Belin (defensive line) and Manny Rojas (linebackers).

Western Carolina: Sources tell us that Appalachian State inside linebackers coach / recruiting cooridnator Mark Speir will be announced tomorrow as the new head coach at Western Carolina.

Yale: Hard to imagine that Yale could find a better coach than current Vanderbilt defensive coordinator Bob Shoop. Shoop played at Yale, was a grad assistant there, later returned as defensive coordinator...head coach at Columbia...plenty of great coaching stops along the way and now DC at Vandy and doing a great job. Winner of the 2009 FootballScoop 1-AA Coordinator of the Year and a finalist for this year's Defensive Backs Coach of the Year.
