Samford University: Our sources tell us defensive line coach Ross Newton has added the title of recruiting coordinator. Defensive coordinator Billy D'Ottavio has added the title of assistant head coach. Offensive line coach Brandon Herring has added the title of run game coordinator.

USC: Lane Kiffin says he'll get started on the wide receivers search tomorrow.

Alabama: Our sources tell us that New York Jets offensive assistant Lance Taylor has talked with Nick Saban regarding the wide receivers position.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles strange search for a defensive coordinator has ended. Offensive line coach Juan Castillo will move over to defense and serve as the defensive coordinator. Indianapolis Colts senior offensive assistant Howard Mudd has accepted the offensive line job, replacing Castillo.

Temple: We have learned that Temple head coach Steve Addazio has offered the offensive coordinator job to San Jose State quarterbacks coach / passing game coordinator John DeFilippo. We hear DeFilippo called the plays at San Jose State during the last six games of the season when the offense significantly improved. At this point, we are unsure if DeFilippo has accepted the job.

Nebraska: Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson said today corners coach Corey Raymond will be joining the Nebraska staff.

Florida: Will Muschamp has finalized his coaching staff by hiring former Minnesota Gophers tight ends / assistant special teams coach Derek Lewis as tight ends coach. Brian White will move from tight ends to running backs. Also, Aubrey Hill will add the title of recruiting coordinator.

Tennessee Titans: The Titans have asked permission to interview Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey. New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will interview on Thursday.

Omaha Nighthawks (UFL): Our sources tell us that former Toledo tight ends coach Vince Marrow has accepted the tight ends / running backs job with the Omaha Nighthawks.

Menlo College: We are hearing one time (2000-2001) Menlo College offensive coordinator David Muir has accepted the offensive coordinator position again at Menlo College.

Eastern Michigan: We are hearing the defensive quality control Josh de St Aubin has been promoted to recruiting coordinator.

Arizona Rattlers (AFL): We are hearing that Eastern Michigan University recruiting coordinator Zach Truty has accepted the director of player personnel with the Rattlers.

University of Buffalo: Former Miami (OH) wide receivers coach Alex Wood has accepted the offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach at Buffalo. Also, former Western Illinois head coach Don Patterson has also joined the staff as quarterbacks coach.

NC State: We are hearing that Tom O'Brien has talked with former Temple running backs coach Tyree Foreman about the same position.

Kent State: Head coach Darrell Hazell's base salary will be $300,000. The previous head coach Doug Martin was paid $190,000.

Stonehill College: (DII), located in Easton, MA (20 miles south of Boston), seeks a full time assistant football coach (Offensive Coordinator). Preferred candidates will have prior experience with coaching quarterbacks, 5 years of collegiate coaching experience, 3 years as an OC, and have ties to the Northeast Region. Other responsibilities will also include recruiting, assisting the head coach in all practice and game day preparation, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Salary will range from 35,000-40,000, benefits included. Maryland: Tight ends coach John Dunn has added the title of recruiting coordinator.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles have interviewed Minnesota Vikings defensive backs coach Joe Woods for the defensive coordinator job.

High School Scoop: We have seen a huge number of coaching changes this week.

Stony Brook: Head coach Chuck Priore has signed a contract extension through 2016.

Michigan State: Tight ends coach Mark Staten will not serve as the offensive line coach, allowing Dan Roushar to focus more on his new role of offensive coordinator. Running backs coach Brad Salem has added the title of recruiting coordinator.

UCLA: Seattle Seahawks defensive backs assistants Rocky Seto has accepted the defensive coordinator job at UCLA. Seto worked for Pete Carroll at USC for years.
