Pitt: Tulsa defensive line coach / associate head coach Paul Randolph is the new defensive line coach at Pitt. Also, Keith Patterson has been hired as the defensive coordinator. Patterson served as the defensive coordinator at Tulsa.

UCONN: Sources tell FootballScoop that UCONN will hire a new head coach tomorrow. Our source tells us that the search has shifted in a new direction this evening. We hear Dallas Cowboys assistant Paul Pasqualoni made an outstanding presentation to UCONN officials during an interview.

Pitt: We have confirmed that Tulsa wide receivers coach / passing game coordinator Mike Norvell has joined the Pitt staff.

Temple: We hear former Florida assistant Chuck Heater will be the defensive coordinator.

Utah: There is a report that Norm Chow and former Minnesota offensive line coach Tim Davis will soon be joining the Utah staff. FootballScoop has not confirmed this report. 

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins interviewed Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Brian Daboll for a position today.

Texas State: We are hearing former New Mexico offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey will be a co-offensive coordinator / running backs coach. We also hear Tulsa defensive backs coach / recruiting coordinator Van Malone will join the staff. According to our source, Charlie Reeve will be retained and will coach the wide receivers.

Troy: Our sources tell us that Texas Tech grad assistant Sean Reagan has accepted the quarterbacks job at Troy.

Indiana: We are hearing former Michigan quarterbacks coach Rod Smith and offensive line coach Greg Frey have accepted positions at Indiana. Our source tells us that Smith will serve as the offensive coordinator.

Alabama: Our sources tell us Miami (FL) offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland accepted the offensive line job at Alabama.

Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs have promoted Dwayne Stukes to special teams coordinator.

Tulsa: FootballScoop has learned that Tulsa officials including the president plan to meet with Arkansas offensive coordinator Garrick McGee tomorrow.

UCLA: We hear Rick Neuheisel has hired San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Johnson for the same position. This leads us to believe that Norm Chow will not be returning.

San Diego State: Rocky Long does not want to change offensive terminology. He says he has talked with a couple of candidates already and his new offensive coordinator might not be available for a couple of weeks.

Michigan: San Diego State offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Al Borges will be joining the Michigan staff in the same role.

MTSU: Defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Randall McCray will not return.

Pitt: We hear Tulsa offensive line coach Spencer Leftwich is going to Pitt to be the offensive line coach. 

Mississippi State: We have learned that FIU defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Geoff Collins has accepted the co-defensive coordinator / linebackers job at Mississippi State.

Baylor: Defensive ends coach Theo Young and linebackers coach Larry Hoefer are not returning to the staff. Art Briles has hired former North Texas corners coach Carlton Buckles and Stony Brook defensive coordinator Jim Gush as linebackers coach.

Florida Tuskers (UFL): The franchise has folded, but the coaching staff is heading to Virginia to coach the Virginia Destroyers. Jay Gruden is the head coach.

Harvard: Harvard as a full-time defensive line job open - preferably a minority from Division 1, Ivy League, FCS. Send cover letters, resumes and references to head coach Tim Murphy (tmurphy@fas.harvard.edu)

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins will interview Dallas Cowboys tight ends coach John Garrett and Chargers tight ends coach Rob Chudzinski for the offensive coordinator job.

Clemson: Our sources tell us that Dabo Swinney has hired Furman wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator Tony Elliott as running backs coach.

Texas State: We hear MTSU offensive coordinator Mike Schultz and Montana linebackers coach Mike Hudson will be joining Dennis Franchione's staff.

Eastern Illinois: Our sources tell us that Campbell University defensive line coach Nick Cavallo will interview at Eastern Illinois for the same position.

West Texas A&M: Our sources tell us that offensive line coach / associate head coach Billy Best has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

Texas State: We hear that former Kentucky defensive backs coach Chris Thurmond has been offered a position by Dennis Franchione. Another source tells us the Brad Franchione will serve as the defensive coordinator.

Clemson: If Chad Morris doesn't land the Tulsa job, he will earn $450,000 per year with a multi-year contract at Clemson.

Tampa Bay Bucs: Defensive line coach Todd Wash will not return. We hear Minnesota Vikings defensive line coach Karl Dunbar is a candidate to replace Wash.

LSU: Les Miles has agreed to a new 7-year contract. Miles' salary will remain $3.75 million, but he can earn more through incentives.

Omaha Nighthawks (UFL): Virginia Destroyers head coach Joe Moglia accepted the head coaching job with the Omaha Nighthawks.

Pitt: We hear former Michigan defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator Tony Gibson will join Todd Graham's staff at Pitt. We are also hearing the former head coach Dave Wannstedt has talked with several NFL head coaches about a position. Wannstedt could end up in Carolina, San Diego, or Dallas.

UCONN: We hear that Whipple would try to lure Fordham head coach Tom Masella, Brown head coach Phil Estes, and Sacred Heart head coach Paul Gorham, and former Miami (FL) running backs coach Mike Cassano.

Alabama: Despite multiple reports, FootballScoop has learned that Bobby Williams did NOT interview with the Dallas Cowboys.

Pitt: Todd Graham has hired former Michigan offensive coordinator / associate head coach Calvin Magee as offensive coordinator.

Wisconsin: We have learned that former Buffalo Bills inside linebackers coach DeMontie Cross interviewed with Bret Bielema.

Indiana: Wyoming defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery accepted the defensive ends job at Indiana.

Central Arkansas: We have learned that former Texas State assistant Slade Nagle has accepted the running backs job at Central Arkansas.

Mississippi State: Our sources tell us that Dan Mullen has interest in FIU defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Geoff Collins.

Alabama: We have confirmed that Miami (FL) offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland interviewed for the same position at Alabama.
