Clemson: Sources close to the situation just now confirming to us late tonight that Brent Venables has reached an agreement to become defensive coordinator at Clemson.
Washington & Lee: W&L has promoted offensive coordinator Scott Abell to head coach.
Maryville (D-III - TN): Sources tell us the four finalists conclude their interviews tomorrow and we hear the new head coach could be named as early as Friday. Sources tell us the 4 finalists are Rob Grande, David Needs, Mike Radar and Rusty Wright.
Kentucky State: We hear Eastern Kentucky offensive grad assistant Larry Turner has been hired to coach the offensive line at Kentucky State.
Western Carolina: Sources tell us former Coastal Carolina defensive coordinator Curtis Walker has been named defensive coordinator at Western Carolina.
Mary Hardin Baylor (D-III - TX): Longtime assistant Jeff Shinn has been promoted to offensive coordinator.
Alabama: Saban has officially named Doug Nussmeier and Lance Thompson to the staff.
Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have released offensive line coach Pete Metzelaars and receivers coach Frank Reich.

Denver Broncos: Matt Russell has been promoted to director of player personnel (from director of college scouting). Also, as we told you this morning, the Broncos have named Brian Stark their West Coast scout.
Tennessee Titans: The Titans have announced three front office promotions. Mike Reinfeldt has been promoted from GM to Senior Executive Vice President / CEO, Ruston Webster has been named Executive VP / GM, and Lake Dawson has been named VP of Football Operations to the Vice President of Player Personnel.
Fayetteville State University (D-II - Fayetteville NC): A member of the NCAA Division II, and The CIAA is seeking applications a full-time position of QB Coach and Offensive Coordinator. Oklahoma Baptist: Southmoore HS (OK) head coach Chris Jensen has resigned to take the head coaching job at Oklahoma Baptist a brand new football program.
Charleston Southern: Former Eastern Illinois running backs / special teams coordinator Matthew Smiley has been hired as receivers / special teams coordinator at Charleston Southern.
Denver Broncos: Sources telling us that former Yale co-offensive coordinator Brian Stark will join the Broncos organization.
Arkansas: Just saw some interesting salary info out of Arkansas...Taver Johnson's salary will be $275,000 (same as he was set to receive at Ohio State). Kevin Peoples, who moved from director of high school relations to coaching the defensive tackles, will now make $200,000 and newly hired director of high school relations Jason Shumaker will earn $102,0000. The total pool for the assistants is now $2.6 million.
Washington: Sark has announced everything...Kiesau is OC / QBs. Dougherty remains WRs and adds pass game coordinator. Running backs coach Joel Thomas added the title of associate head coach offense. Johnny Nansen will now serve as special teams coordinator / assistant head coach / recruiting coordinator.
Illinois: Tim Beckman just announced what we told you over the weekend...that Tim Banks from Cincinnati has joined his staff as defensive coordinator. Just recapping the staff: Billy Gonzales (co-OC / WRs), Chris Beatty (co-OC / QBs), Luke Butkus (OL), Tim Salem (RBs / special teams coordinator), Alex Golesh (TEs / specialists), Banks (DC / Safeties), Keith Gilmore (DL), Mike Ward (LBs), Steve Clinkscale (Corners).
Shaw University (D-II - NC): Defensive coordinator Robert Massey has been named head coach.
Yale / Colby: We hear former Yale defensive line coach Duane Brooks will become the new head coach at D-III Colby College.
Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals have announced that 5 assistants have signed new agreements...Russ Griss (OL), Kevin Spencer (special teams), Freddie Kitchens (TE), Tommie Robinson (RB) and Ron Aiken (DL).
Toledo: We have learned that NIU linebackers coach Tom Matukewicz will join the staff as defensive coordinator. We hear Matukewicz will evaluate the existing staff and determine if any changes will be made. We hear there was significant interest in this position.
West Virginia: We have learned that Dana plans to move outside receivers coach Daron Roberts back to his natural position of corners. Prior to joining the staff before last season, Roberts was the assistant secondary coach for the Detroit Lions for two seasons and worked with the defense for the Kansas City Chiefs for a couple of years prior to that.
