Pitt: Nate Tice, former Wisconsin quarterback under Paul Chryst...and Mike Tice's son, has joined the staff at Pitt as an offensive grad assistant.
Green Bay Packers: According to Adam Caplan, the Packers have hired former Cowboys Northeast area scout John Wojciechowski as an area scout. Further, the Packers have promoted John Dorsey to director football operations.
New Mexico Military Institute (JC - NM): New Mexico Military Institute, located in Roswell, NM invites applicants for a defensive intern position. This is an entry level position and will report directly to the head coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach and defensive staff with day-to-day operations, practice planning & set-up, film breakdown, equipment, travel, coaching a position, and other duties related to the position as assigned by the head coach. The position in which the candidate will coach will be dependent upon qualifications. This position will begin in late July and run through the end of the 2012 season. This is an entry level position with a stipend of $3,000 plus room & board. Bachelor’s Degree required, with coaching/playing experience at the collegiate level preferred. Southern Miss: Ellis Johnson has announced that Garret Chachere has been hired to coach the tight ends and coordinate the special teams. Chachere spent the past three seasons on staff at Arizona where he coached the inside receivers.
Conference Commissioners: According to research done by USA Today's Steve Berkowitz, in calendar 2010 total comp was as follows: Larry Scott (Pac-12) $1.9 million, Jim Delany (Big Ten) $1.8 million, John Swofford (ACC) $1.5 million and Mike Slive (SEC) just over $1 million. Dan Beebe (former Big 12) was paid nearly $1.7 million and John Marinatto (former Big East) received just over $600,000. Britton Banowsky (CUSA) earned nearly $900,000 and Craig Thompson (MWC) earned slightly over $600,000.
Presentation College (D-III - SD): Presentation College of Aberdeen, SD invites applications for two positions, an offensive and a defensive intern. These are entry level positions, designed to provide the successful candidate coaching and administrative experience. Responsibilities will include assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the program (practice and game preparation, recruiting, fundraising, video breakdown, camps, equipment, community involvement, and other duties as assigned). The successful candidate will have integrity and respect, excellent interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with all constituents. Position will begin July 15, 2012 and end on May 30, 2013. Bachelor’s Degree required, with coaching/playing experience preferred. This position will be paid a salary of $5500.00.
