Penn State: The Board of Trustees has announced late tonight that, "Joe Paterno is no longer the head football coach at the University." Tom Bradley has been named interim head coach. 

Central Florida: Athletic director Keith Tribble and wide receivers coach David Kelly have both resigned today. Al Harms has been named the interim athletic director.

Lake Forest (DIII - IL): Lake Forest is now accepting applications for their next head coach. We hear that Jim Catanzaro, who has served as the interim head coach the past three seasons, will be one of the finalists interviewed. Lake Forest is a DIII school located in Lake Forest, IL about 45 minutes north of Chicago. 

Joliet Junior College (IL): We are hearing that Joliet has voted to shut down their football progam.

Virginia Union (D-II): We hear Ralph Clark, linebackers and strength & conditioning coach, will not return. 

Penn State: Joe Pa has decided to retire at the end of the season. Read Joe's statement here.

North Carolina: When Everett Withers agreed to serve as interim head coach, UNC raised his salary from the $330,000 he was making per year up to $500,000 through December of this season. The $500,000 does not include money from outside sources such as radio, TV, etc... which would add to that figure. Come January 1, Withers will be able to return to his former agreement which runs through June 2013.

Weber State: We hear that the AD's first choice is one of the current assistants at BYU.
