After an 11-year run as the head coach of his alma mater, Otterbein (D-III - OH) head coach Tim Doup has decided time has come for a change.
"I just feel it's time for a changeβ¦both for me and this program," Doup shared in the school's release of the news. "
It's time to hit the reset button and step away. I can't express enough what this institution means to me and how much I've enjoyed the last 20 years."
Otterbein finished the year 2-8, and had a few one-possession losses, including a double overtime heartbreaker to Muskingum.
Doup joined the staff of his alma mater prior to the 2023 season and spent nine seasons calling the Cardinals offense.
Heading into the 2012 season, Doup, who was serving as an assistant athletic director, was promoted to the head coaching position.
He went 8-2 that first season, had a few seasons around the .500 mark before another winning 6-4 mark in 2017.
Since that 2017 season, the Cardinals have won just eight games.
Overall, Doup leaves Otterbein with a 41-64 mark.
