Southern Miss DC Todd Bradford talks about Skip Holtz' offense: "Some offenses, you feel like they don't have a plan, that they're just calling plays. They really have a plan for each situation. They're extremely well-coached, and they don't make mistakes. There's a pretty good chess match when you're up against Coach Holtz and Coach Fitch."
Quoting South Florida OC / running backs coach Todd Fitch: "We'll have a little more of a two-back run game. They didn't have much of that. We will commit to that daily. Our defensive guys are going to see it against Rutgers, against Pitt, against Connecticut. Coach Holtz's philosophy is that even if it's not what you do best, your defense needs it."
Quoting Tommy Tuberville: "I think we're at the point now in the game where you've got to spread things out and get your best players, your fastest players, in space to win those individual battles. That's not saying we won't run the ball, but obviously we're going to throw the ball more than I'm used to. We're looking for a quarterback who can stand in the pocket and throw it, whereas in the SEC, you're seeing more and more of the type of quarterbacks who can throw it and run it."

Dave Christensen talks about Wyoming moving to 4-3 defense: "We're trying to put guys in certain positions where they can make plays and get as much speed and athleticism on the field as we can. The reason we recruited some of these kids is that we projected them to be able to play different positions. We get more speed on the sides. So, now we're able to get the faster players in different positions."
"I don't think the transition will be that difficult. We are missing some guys, some defensive linemen that will be with us in fall camp. They're going to miss out on some time right now, but other than that, most of the guys that played last year are back at other spots. So, we'll be in good shape.
"We just feel like the 4-3 is the best direction for us to go for the future of our program."
Quoting Georgia AD Damon Evans: "I know everybody wants to hear this. I'm going to do all I can from my chair to get our football program back to the level that people are used to, and I have no doubt that will happen. I have utmost confidence in Coach Richt to continue to do the things that he's always done and ... position us to compete for championships.
