2010 Division II Coordinator of the Year The FootballScoop Coaches of the Year awards presented by SpeedTracs are the only set of awards that recognize the most outstanding position coaches in college football. Finalists were selected based off of nominations by coaches, athletic directors, and athletic department personnel. A panel of coaches including previous recipients will determine the the 2010 winners. Votes tallied on this page are considered; however a panel of coaches make the final decision. Voting for this award ends on Thursday December 16th. Previous winners of the Division II Coordinator of the Year award are Tim Beck (Pitt State, 2008) and Scott Preston (Arkansas Tech, 2009).

David Calloway - Defensive Coordinator - Texas A&M Kingsville
Defensive coordinator David Calloway helped Texas A&M – Kingsville lead the nation in rushing defense, while playing against some of the best offensive attacks in the D2 football. The Javalinas finished 6th nationally in total defense, allowing just 257 yards per game. Texas A&M – Kingsville finished 10-2, losing to Northwest Missouri State in the quarterfinals of the D2 playoffs.

Ken Collums - Offensive Coordinator - Abilene Christian University
For the second consecutive year, Abilene Christian offensive coordinator Ken Collums is a finalist for this award. Under the leadership of Collums, the ACU offense finished the regular season 10-0, while scoring 43 points per game. The Wildcats averaged 473 yards per game and scored more than 30 points in every game this season. Unfortunately, the season came to an end in the D2 quarterfinals with a 55-41 loss to Central Missouri.

Adam Dorrel - Northwest Missouri State
Under the leadership of offensive coordinator Adam Dorrel, traditional power Northwest Missouri State ranks in the top 20 nationally in scoring offense and total offense. The Bearcats, champions of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Conference, are 12-1 and face Minnesota-Duluth in the D2 semifinals. Dorrel also coaches the offensive line.
