Maroon, orange and white is not a color scheme to be entrusted into the wrong hands. Too much orange makes you look like a chain gang, too much maroon makes you look like a Thanksgiving turkey. But the Hokies found the proper mix through last season.
On Wednesday, the Hokies scraped that classic-meets-modern design for something much more modern and aggressive.

It's a bit of an odd rollout, as the original tweet showing the new uniforms appears to be deleted and there is nothing referencing a change in uniform on the school's athletics website.
