Washington State making flurry of moves on Jimmy Rogers staff, including NFL veteran (Washington State)

Now with an FBS head coaching gig, Jimmy Rogers is putting his stamp on his inaugural Washington State staff.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Rogers is adding several personnel on both sides of the ball.

Former NFL First Round Draft Pick Mike Iupati is transitioning into the role of assistant offensive line coach for the Cougars, FootballScoop has learned.

Additionally,  Owen Baebler will have a role on the Wazzu offensive staff. A member of former Cougars head coach Jake Dickert's staff in a scouting department role, Baebler will transition into an offensive graduate assistant role.

Defensively, Byron Robinson Jr. is joining the Cougars staff as a defensive analyst. He spent the 2024 season on staff at Oklahoma State, where he also worked on the defensive side of the ball.

Robinson Jr. also has coached at Tulsa.

Fresh off an NCAA title at D-III program North Central College, Matt Lenti is joining the Cougars as a defensive graduate assistant. He coached nickelbacks for North Central College in 2024.

The moves cap a bevy of additions this week to the staff of Rogers, hired last month to replace Dickert after Dickert departed for Wake Forest.
