Wyoming recently announced that they have agreed to a contract extension with Craig Bohl.
The extension is for one year and will take Bohl through the 2024 season.
The school shared in their release:
"Craig (Bohl) has done an outstanding job building our football program into one of the best in the Mountain West Conference over the past six seasons," said athletic director Tom Burman. "I felt it was important for the continued success of our program to extend Coach Bohl's contract. With this one-year extension, it will enable our coaching staff to continue to recruit at a very high level as they have been, and it sends a message to our current players and potential recruits that our program is going to be strong for years to come."
Bohl's extension for the 2024 season does not include a raise, and it is set to pay him the same amount as the year before. According to the USA Today Salary database, Bohl was made just over $1.5 million
Since leaving FCS powerhouse North Dakota State and heading to Wyoming in 2014, Bohl is 36-41, but endured 4-8 and 2-10 seasons in his first two seasons.
However, recently Bohl has won at least 8 games in three of the last four seasons. Dating back to 2016, Bohl has gone 8-6, 8-6, 6-6 and 8-5 and has an impressive 20-6 record at home.
