Following the late resignation of head coach Casey Goff back in May, The College of New Jersey faced a decision to elevate someone from within, name an interim head coach for the season, or open up a coaching search heading into the summer during a less-than-ideal time for a variety of reasons.
The program recently announced their decision, deciding to elevate offensive line coach / recruiting coordinator Eric Jendryaszek as the interim head coach for the fall season.
"Eric is the consummate professional and the perfect coach to lead our football program as the interim head coach for the 2024 season," executive director of athletics Amanda DeMartino shared in the school's release.
"As our most veteran member of the staff, Eric's ability to provide leadership and continuity for our team is something that cannot be understated."
Jendryaszek arrived with Goff at TCNJ back in 2017, starting his tenure with the program as offensive coordinator before moving to offensive line and shifting his focus to recruiting coordinator.
The release goes on to share that offensive coordinator Aaron Mershman and defensive coordinator Edwyn Edwards willremain in their respective roles, allowing for even more continuity on staff.
A national coaching search will take place later this year, the releases shared.
