Lane Kiffin adds DJ Durkin and two key members to staff (Featured)

Update>> Ole Miss has now announced all three additions. Their official titles are not shared in the school's press release.

According to reports this morning, Lane Kiffin is bringing DJ Durkin to Oxford to join his staff.

His appointment on Kiffin's staff will be his first full-time coaching position since he was let go as the head coach at Maryland after going 10-15 in two seasons.

Durkin spent the 2019 season doing some consulting work for the Atlanta Falcons. His previous coaching stops include Notre Dame, Bowling Green, Florida, Stanford, and Michigan, serving as defensive coordinator for both the Gators and Wolverines during his time with the programs.

Neal McCready adds that Lane is also set to announce the addition Texas A&M's Joe Jon Finley and Michigan's Chris Partridge to the staff as well, both hires we've reported on over the last several days.

With Durkin's experience as a defensive coordinator, and Partridge reportedly on the way to Oxford as well after being rumored as a defensive coordinator candidate, it will be interesting to see how Kiffin structures the defensive side of the ball.
